One of three FF states in the ex-Confederacy (the other two being Tennessee and North Carolina). New Orleans is obviously fantastic, and as a Francophile I love the remnant Cajun culture.

New Orleans is one of America's great cultural treasures, and without a doubt the best city in the South.  Add in Acadiana and you have the single best regional food and drink culture in all of North America.

It's got some warts, but who cares?  Freedom State.

The Cajun Chicken I had on an airline (Emirates) was so good, I REALLY want to try the authentic stuff! Also, jazz music, Cajun culture and New Orleans in general makes LA an FS.
