Here's the potential winners for separate Vice-Presidential Elections since 1900:

1900: Theodore Roosevelt
1904: Charles Fairbanks
1908: James Sherman
1912: Hiram Johnson
1916: Thomas Marshall
1920: Calvin Coolidge
1924: Charles Dawes
1928: Charles Curtis
1932: John Nance Garner
1936: John Nance Garner
1940: Charles McNary (I doubt many people would have supported Henry Wallace in 1940)
1944: Harry Truman
1948: Earl Warren (though Alben Barkley could have easily won as well)
1952: Richard Nixon
1956: Richard Nixon (though Estes Kefauver would have came close)
1960: Lyndon Johnson
1964: Hubert Humphrey
1968: Edmund Muskie
1972: Spiro Agnew
1976: Walter Mondale (Dole would have won if he never had the "Democrat Wars" debate gaffe)
1980: George H.W. Bush
1984: George H.W. Bush
1988: Lloyd Bentsen
1992: Al Gore
1996: Al Gore (Jack Kemp could have came close to winning as well)
2000: Joe Lieberman
2004: John Edwards
2008: Joe Biden
2012: Paul Ryan
2016 (assuming that the Democrats nominate Hillary Clinton/Mark Warner and the Republicans nominate Chris Christie/Marco Rubio): Mark Warner

Did Joe Lieberman have a notable advantage over Dick Cheney that I'm missing? I know that he was centrist and all, but I recall reading that Cheney performed markedly better than Lieberman in the Vice Presidential debate.
