Previously, I would have said that Snyder was a dead man walking politically, but I think the Detroit bankruptcy and support for Medicaid expansion has helped him tremendously.  If this continues, they may well be his salvation next year.

Completely agree. The Nerd knows who his audience needs to be (voters in Oakland and Macomb counties). He has turned out to be an incredibly talented and savvy politician.
