If the 2016 election for president was held today, who would you vote for if the candidates were: [CHOICES ROTATED]

56% Clinton
40% Christie

If the 2016 election for president was held today, who would you vote for if the candidates were: [CHOICES ROTATED]

I'm going to read a series of names of people and institutions in public life and I'd like you to tell me whether you have a favorable opinion or an unfavorable opinion of each person or institution I name:

63-25 favorable - Christie (+38)

The age breakdown is off. They show the GOP doing as well among youngs as among olds.

I'm not one to question polls, but Christie leading Cuomo is a bit WTF.

Yeah, it's bogus. The GOP has no chance whatsoever in New York. At all.

Christie's going to be a big problem for the Democrats. He's weighing heavily on the minds of party leaders.

Christie vs. Clinton by age:
18-34: Clinton +14
35-54: Clinton +10
55+: Clinton +22

Christie vs. Cuomo by age:
18-34: tie
35-54: Christie +12
55+: Christie +1

Also, even leaving aside the odd fact that Christie leads Cuomo, Clinton's overall 16 point lead over Christie would be the narrowest victory for the Dems in New York in a presidential race in over 20 years.....despite the fact that it's (sort of) her home state.

1) I highly question this poll. Let's get some more pollsters there, and check back in a year or so.

2) If this poll is accurate, Cuomo may be the DEMs equivalent of Ted Cruz - not ideologically, but insofar as he is an electoral disaster waiting to happen.

Seriously?  Why do Democrats hate fat people so much?

No Republican has a chance in New York.  They would have a better shot in California or Illinois, which says something because both of those are unattainable as well.

New York: Christie +5% over Cuomo

New Jersey: Christie +15% over Cuomo (PPP, 11/26-28/2012)

Could Christie win multiple New England states against Cuomo?

Apologies. I am actually against the negative stigmatization of fat people. I guess the crack came just too easily to pass up, but I shouldn't have said it.

Unless the Democratic nominee was a complete disaster, no Republican is winning New York. Democrats aren't exactly thrilled with Cuomo, but they'd hold their nose and vote for him.

Interesting. Probably a junk poll though.
