Generally when governors run for Prez they run on their record as governor, saying they can replicate that success nationally (with some exceptions such as Romney emphasizing his Bain record over his MA record). In 2016 there may be quite a few GOP govs running, so which one of them will have the best case? (both in primary and general).

If you think some other gov has a better case please detail.

(NOTE: above poll assumes Walker and Kasich win re-election in 2014)

Christie or Walker or Perry.

Depending on the future, of course.

I'll vote Walker.

Christie's economic record is terrible the unemployment rate is 8.5%! in New Jersey 1 and a half point higher than national UE. The state ranks 49th in tax climate and it's second worse state for business only behind New York.  Compared to the other Governors on the list he doesn't he even come close. Perry and Walker probably have the most impressive economic records the UE rate in Texas is 6.2% and in Wisconsin 6.5% in fact every Governor on that list other than Christie can say their states UE rate is lower than Christie's!

With these new developments, for sure Walker. Although Christie did great during Hurricane Sandy.

Coming from someone who's entire family is from New Jersey,  Christie has been an awful Governor for the economy up there. The only reason they didn't vote in 2013 was that Buono was such an awful person to run the state,  they couldn't vote for her.

The only person in my family who voted was my sister, and she voted for Buono.

Bush has the best record, but I don't think he runs.

Walker's record has the most appeal to the conservative base, while the mainstream GOP loves Republican governors form blue states like Christie.

Taking unemployment into account and the fact that Christie may have a death on his hands now... Bush.

I'd say Christie, but the Republican electorate might think differently.
