If you guys can agree on a color today, I'll change your color when I do the census update.

If possible, I realize you guys are still forming and such --but I'd like to request the Democratic-Republican Party's endorsement for Governor of the Northeast in the upcoming special election. As you all know, I'm a huge Dallasfan Wink

Much appreciated. However, it seems the prevailing opinion amongst my fellow party members is in favor of teal, which is not a drastic change from the current census color.

Wink

I'll do a vote on these simultaneously. It may be in order to do an endorsement vote for IDS Emperor and At-Large Senate afterwards, since if my memory is correct the December At-Large elections are earlier than others.

Ballot:

What shall be the official color of the Democratic-Republicans?
[ ] Purple
[ ] Teal
[ ] Other (please specify)

Northeast Special Gubernatorial Election
[ ] Sirnick (LAB-NY)
[ ] Other (please specify)

Voting shall last for forty-eight hours.

Voting is now closed. Teal is the official color of the Democratic-Republicans, and we have voted not to endorse a candidate in the Northeast Gubernatorial Special Election.

I'm fine with our by-laws, so I'd be good with moving on to crafting a platform.

Hello everyone,

I have come into this thread to announce that I have now registered myself as a member of this party.  I believe, out of the current parties, this one best represents my overall philosophy in that individual liberties are sacred.  I realize that my presence here might be alarming to some of you, given my economic leftism.  However, in the times facing this nation, I believe that this tent, this big tent party, is the best and ultimate solution to the conflicts and crises that our nation is facing.

I hope that in this party I am indeed welcome and that we all can come together for the common cause of opposing infractions on liberty wherever they may come from.

Let me be the first to state that I am overjoyed with Mechaman's presence in our party.

I have been a friend of Mechaman's for many years, and have collaborated with him on several projects (off of Atlasia.) In addition, I worked with him a long time ago when he and I were partymates in the Populares. I can attest that he is as competent and forthright of an individual as anybody else.

In no way do I find Mechaman's ideology incongruent with the preamble I outlined several days ago. Whatever economic minutia separates us, I know firsthand that civil liberties is first and foremost on his list of priorities, as I expect of all of us.

As some of you may know I am running for the Governorship in the IDS.  I know that my opponent, PiT, has views that many of you see eye to eye on.  WHile it would be nice to have an official endorsement and for the party to coerce people into voting for me, I can only say that I would feel good if you guys voted your principles in that race.  If you vote for me, great.  If you vote for PiT, well f*** you and go kill yourself.
Kidding.

Anyway, if you live in the IDS and the race is between me and PiT, just vote for whoever you would like to see Gov'na.  It isn't like my opponent is Hitler or somethin'

While I'm not about to jump ship from Labor, I'd like to congratulate you on the founding of your party and wish to let you know that any friend of civil liberties is a friend of mine. If there is anything at all that you'd like to see sponsored that protects civil liberties or expands the rights of the individual to not be harassed by the state, please do not hesitate to contact me about it, as more likely than not I'd be glad to introduce it. I did just get the Comprehensive Drug Reform Act passed, after all. Wink

Thanks comrade. Your work in this area has been commendable. Smiley

@Mecha:
Regarding the IDS Emperor race, when is that election? I'd prefer to wait until the At-Large field has fleshed itself out and hold both endorsements simultaneously, but if the IDS election is upon us then I shall hold the endorsement vote tonight.

It's on the same day as the at-large Senate election; December 20.

I'm pretty sure the senate election is the week before, on the 13th.

I'm going off of tmhforu's post in the intro to Atlasia thread: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=155325.msg3338575#msg3338575
That post is based off of what AG created - I think Fritz may be right.

I know.

I'll be holding an endorsement vote shortly - I find it unlikely that Labor is only running X, and I don't want to jump the gun.

Anybody have thoughts on a logo? I'm feeling a bit nostalgic (hearkening back to my first campaign banner) and thinking we should go with something simple like a wolf, though naturally there are probably better proposals from those of you more artistically gifted than I. Tongue
