Amendment 66, the big tax hike in Colorado, is going down in flames.

And that with a more than ten-to-one spending gap, too. Not only does that make Michael Bloomberg 0-for-3 in Colorado elections this year, but it is also a major loss for Governor Hickenlooper and suggests that Colorado's conservative rebellion is strong.

Thank GOD.
The CO GOP is near dead.  I'll continue to believe that until they win another big statewide race...last time being '04 when Bush beat Kerry by 4.7% points.

Say what you want about the state GOP, but clearly conservatism in Colorado is quite alive. I'll happily take historic recalls and a major tax defeat for an increasingly unpopular liberal governor any election.

Amendment 66 in Colorado is down 65-35. Last I checked it was only narrowly passing in Denver County. That is pretty stunning stuff. This state is a real wildcard.

Jefferson County, Colorado's marquee swing county, has elected a conservative majority to the school board. Douglas County kept all four conservatives on their school board, a green light to the voucher program there. And Amendment 66 is losing 2:1. A great night for conservatives in Colorado.

So are any counties seceding?

A few, but not enough to get it off the ground. The movement in terms of secession is toast.
