There is a vote right now in Albuquerque trying to restrict women's access to abortions.

No election day votes have been counted yet, but so far:

Absentee Voting:

For: 4,046
Against: 2,273
Total: 6,319

For: 69.73%
Against: 30.27%

Early Voting:
For: 18,078
Against: 25,719

Total: 43,797

For: 41.28%
Against: 58.72%

Total vote:

For: 44.15%
Against: 55.85%

Note: The election day vote is still not available.

This will probably go down in flames.

I hope so.

Is this a local ballot initiative? If so, the republicans must control the municipality (which seems highly unlikely), otherwise, why would democrats put up a vote like this?

It's a citizen's referendum

ah, right.

So the abortion restrictions bill failed 55-45, and Mark Herring has been certified in the Virginia attorney general race by the state board of elections.

Obenshain has 10 days to ask for a recount; hopefully this should be wrapped up by Christmas.

You could have got this for individual counties on the VA Public Access Project site, but here's how NOVA voted by precinct.

McAuliffe lagged Obama 2012 by 1.4% and still performed the same in the two competitive districts.  That suggests they are either moving slowly left or they don't swing much at all.

We mentioned the Arkansas SD21 special; the general election is Tuesday.

Here's a good RRH diary on it.
