It's leading by about the same percentage in Westchester County, which is usually a good belwether in statewide elections.  It will pass.  Good jobs will stay in the Adirondacks!  Smiley

99.8% Reporting...

What's left?

- Prince William County (1.3% left) (D)
- Rockingham County (3.3% left) (R)
- Rockbridge County (5.6% left) (R)
- Bedford County (3.1% left) (R)
- Mecklenburg County (4.2% left) (R)

Now don't let this fool you, Prince William County has more population than all of these counties by far, but still looks like 50/50 vote left, not necessarily democrat territory.

I don't see how spitting in the face of "forever wild" deserves a smiley face here.

There will be more land put into the reserve than taken out.  Everybody wins.

I am pretty sure the recent tally changes by AP come from all sort of adjustments/corrections. Too few precincts left, and they are still changing. This is a recount.

Not all remaining precincts are in Democratic territory.  By county they are in (from relative R to D):

Rockingham
Bedford
Mecklenberg
Roanoke
Prince Wiliam
Norfolk (2)

No, it's the principle of the thing.  "Forever wild" means "forever wild"- and the Adirondacks were very specifically and purposefully created to be forever wild.  You don't f[inks] with that, if words have meaning.

Also, I'll trust the mining company's promise about as far as I can throw it.

The prince William precincts will probably be the largest and the late reporting ones will all be in the more "urban" areas so they will be a big boost to the D depending how many.  The others will all probably go R except maybe Norfolk depending where it is.

We vote on land swaps in the Adirondacks all the time.  Every time, at least as much new land is put into the reserve as is taken out.  People live in the Adirondacks.  They need to be able to make a living.

Terry McAuliffe is a joke piece of trash. I'm so going to love his disastrous term as Governor.

Has Pretentious Public Polling put out a statement about how horribly wrong they were?

I'm fairly sure that would be illegal (the mining company backing out on its obligation, that is).
