For illustration purposes only, let's say that every eligible non-voter in 2012 had actually cast a ballot for a single third party ticket, with all other results remaining the same.  This is how the 2012 map would have looked:




Obama 95     Romney 0     Third Party 442


The last time a presidential candidate won more votes than the total number of eligible non-voters was in 1904.

Cool, way to be a dick for no reason.

To me, I view this type of information as (a) a sad state of affairs in an already sad political landscape, and (b) what might happen if voting was compulsory?  How would the this vast electorate vote if forced to do so?  Which parties would benefit the most?
