Parties seemed to be setting there eyes on reliable sites like Kansas City, Missouri for GOP in 2016, not sure of Democrats.

Kansas City is the clear frontrunner for the 2016 RNC.  On the Democratic side, it's more of a muddle, though I think Minneapolis, Philadelphia, and St. Louis seem to be the cities most seriously considering it.  Could be others as well, I don't know.  Cleveland tried for the DNC in 2012 and didn't get it, so they might try again.  But they've been rather quiet so far.
