I met a girl online today who said she really likes mountains.  Do you think it would impress her if I told her I pioneered legislation that banned mountaintop removal mining in Atlasia?

This can't be serious.

I don't know if it says more about me or the forum that I genuinely can't tell.

Agreed.  I can't tell. Of course if Scott changes his screen name to Manti Te'O, we'll know she isnt' real.

I was serious about the girl; I wasn't serious about my 'idea.'

Yeah, I interpreted Scott's thing as an obvious joke.

BTW Scott didn't I sign that bill when I was Northeast Governor? Wink

Are you certain it's a girl, Manti?

Well this sucks, just got tested for mono. Probably have it. Have plans to visit a buddy in Tampa next week for spring break. Was going to get drunk a lot, go to Universal, Spring Training games, hockey game, beach, etc. Now if this is the case I can't drink or do Universal. I pretty bummed right now Sad

I just registered for it; I have been told it is more geared toward writing and history. Is this true?

The ACT doesn't have any history on it. The five subjects tested are English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing, and the Writing test is actually optional.

Yes. The test-taker is presented with a topic, on which they then have thirty minutes to write an essay.

Lost my temper with my group.

tl;dr, we're doing a group speech, I got assigned into a new group (it's a long story), and my new group leader bitched me out for "not doing any work on the outline" that I only received Monday night. I thought it was unreasonable to expect me to do an entire section in one day, but instead of bringing it up normally, I ended up losing it on him. If it wasn't for the rest of the group calming me down I probably would've decked the guy in the face.

Be the group leader, don't be a minion. Then you can delegate out the work. That's my best advice.

One of the girls that's been flirting with me in that class nearly lost it on the kid too.

I'm hating not being able to go to school.  Right now it looks like we will be missing the entire week.  We now have to make up 10 or so days.

Congratulations, Cassius. I may otherwise consider you an HP, but as a fellow student fighting his way through exams at the moment...solidarity!

Oh definitely. Exams, I find, always draw together even the bitterest of opponents, united in the face of a greater enemy. So good luck to you in your exams too!
