Sanchez, whenever you say that you transcended, I assume you mean you smoked weed in a corner or something. Is this true?
Transcedental meditation Tongue.

I was making campaign calls and during one conversation I asked about the Democratic primary and this guy said "Thou shalt not speak bad about thy own Democrats. "
I was threatened with arrest by one woman who I called twice by mistake when I was phone banking Tongue. As an introvert, phone banking terrified me, and even when I got used to it, it was still a huge drain.

So, I figured out I have been saying the word "genuine" wrong my entire life. It is "jen-u-win", not "jen--u-wine" as I have been saying it all my life Tongue

Just started on an essay for the Ayn Rand Institute's annual essay contest; I am not as enthusiastic a Randroid as I once was. I have moved away from Objectivism in many areas (and studying philosophy in general) but I still enjoy writing essays, poetry, and releasing years of pent up crap that I guess is called “creativity” by most people.

I was walking home from the gas station by my house and was half way home when I heard the loudest screetch and crash I've ever heard. The whole neighborhood came outside to see it; amazingly, the car involved only was missing its bumper, and it both drivers were out of the car and seemed fine.

Sanchez, I admit, I haven't read all of your update posts. However, this, combined with the news you got mugged like a year ago, leads me to imagine that you live in some post-apocalyptic Hellscape. Am I anywhere close to the mark with this?
My town is mild compared to Lake Worth and Rivera Beach. Palm Beach County is awful. I don't see thick fumes of radiation coming up out of the ground, but one house on my street is boarded up and a gunshot goes off a mile down the road in the so called "ghetto" once every few years.

So, my mom dragged my dad off to see Tony Bennet, and my brother and I have the house to ourselves, and my brother's friend, his little brother, and the two most f[inks]ing annoying eight graders on the planet are suddenly over.

Also, I watched Inside Llewlyn Davis again on OnDemand for four bucks. God I love that movie. It's a shame that it didn't get an Oscar.

Chairmansanchez, is there a link between them and the day where you have wanted to go to a psychiatric hospical because of a history of porn? I don't remember.
Yes, there is.

I submitted something to Tin House magazine. If it's published, I'll link it to you. It will be either in June or September. If it's good enough to be published.

My dad's childhood best friend died a few weeks ago. He had been homeless and struggling with drug problems, though my dad saw him throughout the Ft. Lauderdale area often. My dad found out today when he saw the obituary online.

His parents were active in film production and were involved with the union, which allowed for him and my dad to have a part in a movie (I for some reason thought it was “Any Given Sunday” but that was made in 1999.....anyway, it was some football related film from the mid to late 1960s) when they were about twelve. The scene was shot for about five minutes, with my dad’s friend even having a speaking role, but when it was all said and done, they both were in the background for about five seconds Tongue.

Sounds like Paper Lion and Brian's Song are the most likely candidates.
Paper Lion seems more likely. He said he was in Middle School. I'll ask him in the morning. My dad has lived an interesting life and has met a very bizarre cast of characters with all kinds of saints and sinners. I'd be damned if he doesn't write a book about it one day.

About 20 members of the Junior class (including two friends of mine) were suspended for attending a party in which a beer bottle was broken over the head of a student from a nearby public school (causing a nasty gash). The school has been pretty good as far as most private schools go in not intruding into the off campus affairs of its students, but the police arrived and demanded to speak with the students involved. We still don't know who threw the bottle or who got injured.

I wrote a brief poem mocking the whole thing. Apparently it spread around school and is considered hysterical. Who knew I could be funny (whatever that is Tongue)?

Am launching an impromptu campaign for any position on my school's Student Government Association. There are three offices open and the only official candidate is running only for President, so I'm hoping my ~3 write-in votes so far can get me places. I'm utilizing social media just like Obama taught me and am hoping it pays off.
Can I be your Chuck Colson?

I've decided that I want Putin to invade the 2016 board. Can we arrange this?

So my brother is home, and I caught him watching "50/50" on one of those sorta sketchy free movie sites. How did he even find out about that movie? Not that I'm upset (he can't understand any of the humor or the plot), but why "50/50" and not the normal Sesame Street/Barney's Backyard Bonanza?

He got half way through the movie before he decided to watch "Thomas Comes To Breakfast" on my visiting cousin's I-pad.

Second all-nighter in a row in preparation for finals. Afraid I'll get carpal tunnel syndrome. Took aderall (spelling?) for the first time in my life. Christ man, I felt like I could conquer the entire f#ckign earth. Wearing off now, and I know it since I feel hungry. Damn shame. I'm gonna hate when it hits 8 AM since that means I have class in an hour and I'd really rather keep plugging away at these study guides and papers.
Have you slept at all in the last 48 hours?

NBC Nightly News just featured a car wash in Parkland that hires only autistic men and women. It also is managed part time by my mom's friend (who is also my own autistic brother's teacher). My mom just saw her last week and she didn't mention it at all.

Thats absolutely incredible Afleitch! I've been painting in my art class, and for sh*ts and giggles painted Rick Scott with hilariously bad results Tongue.

I've been helping out as a stage hand for a school play and am thinking of asking my friend who is in it to prom. But I know better than to ask for advice about that sorta thing on this forum, so I'm gonna wing it Tongue.

I just found a full concert by "The Band" on Youtube (that is very rare) on the fifth anniversary of when I discovered them after watching "The Last Waltz." A gift from Saint Levon, no doubt.

Also, no luck on the prom situation. I'm doing stage crew in a play with the girl I intend to ask (she is a leading role), and the only "competition" asked another girl, so I'm in the clear. I just need a chance to actually ask her before Friday, when ticket sales end. Then I have two weeks to get the smell of Marlboro smoke out of my car, get a suit, etc.

What drives people to take up as disgusting a habit as cigarette smoking?
I just finished my nightly swisher. Its a good way to do something while doing nothing and fights off the boring nothingness that haunts our lives from time to time. Its my way to celebrate when happy and its my emotional outlet when depressed, and it doesn't alter your mind.

I guess that's a better reason than Ayn Rand's insistence that cigarettes represent the triumph of man over fire, or whatever she was raving about during one of her amphetamine benders.
I forgot she said that. I'll use that as my reasoning to get a rise out of people Tongue.

Anywho, Sanchez Prom Watch Day 3. Nothing. I'm getting frustrated at the lack of time and opportunities I have, but I know for a fact that I have a shot tommorow.

In any case, Sanch, I advise a heavy carpet-bombing of Febreeze. May have to unsmell (or even spend money and dry clean!) a suit myself for some weird prom situation I ended up with concerning the chick mentioned in my above post. Strangest situation I've yet to be in.
I don't smoke before school, but alas, if I do end up going, I will do just that. Good luck with your date as well!
