Really impressive whipping by Pelosi to get 100% of Dems voting for it (and over the past few weeks really). She really is the best.

Not quite 100%. Two didn't vote at all.

By the looks of it, nearly every republican representing a district that Obama won in 2012 voted yay.

The only exception appears to be Jeff Denham of CA-10 (the Modesto district). He only won by five-and-a-half points in 2012, so this could put him in a delicate position.

Yay for sanity prevailing.  Apparently we have at least 144 Representatives who are incredibly dumb.

Does this mean you'll be going back to your old blue avatar soon?

I can't think of any reason for them not to. Not even Matheson or McIntyre are going to get criticized for voting to reopen the government and to stop a default from happening.

Really, Greg Walden voted against the bill? The frustrating part is that there's probably no chance of him losing his seat in the near future, his lowest victory was with 61.48% of the vote when he first took office in 1998. And because his district is everywhere that has no big cities, he'll get all the mountain dwellers, farmers and survivalists to keep him in office till he dies. Also, apparently in 2006 some guy from the Constitution part managed to get 2.64% of the vote back there. Shows how backwards that part of Oregon is.

How come Tom Cotton voted for it? I mean this guy practically got elected thanks to the Club for Growth and this is how he repays them?

Aaaand it passes 285-144.

I actually thought a majority of House Republicans would vote for this.  Silly me.

So what happened to the President's insistence he wouldn't sign anything that wasn't a "clean" bill?

What makes you think the Club for Growth wanted a government shutdown and a near-default to happen? They're not nihilists.

The M1 series of main battle tanks have only been in service since 1980.

How about this:

Key Vote Alert - "NO" on Reid-McConnell Deal

I mean this is a guy who has an 87% rating on Heritage Action's congressional scorecard (almost 20 points above the House Republican average), and he's one of the more outspoken critics of Obamacare.

It's been called the Club for Shrinkage by Ramesh Ponurru for it's habit of taking down electable Republicans. They are not fans of pragmatism.

Scott Garrett's vote in favor of the shutdown only increases my suspicion that he'll be replaced by a Democrat by the end of the decade.

I stand corrected. Their organization has such an Orwellian name.

I can't believe my rep voted against this, considering he has this and this in his district.

He'll not going to lose reelection though, because this is an R+16 district.

Glad to see that my Rep, Leonard Lance was able to see reason on this. He seems like a moderate, so it's not too surprising.
