In the primary, Cornyn leads Gohmert 40-31 but trails Perry 46-35. 62% of TX Republicans say they have a higher opinion of Cruz than Cornyn.

The fact that Louie Gohmert is considered a candidate here scares me, and really that's my only worry for this race. Safe R.

Maybe, but he'll still probably lose assuming another known republican in Texas takes a shot at it (as they always do).
