And Villaraigosa was an ACLU attorney who wroked on behalf of gang members rights, so this is not at all far from the truth.

Hey, by the way - oddly enough my hotel in LA for my layover was where the Hahn election night gathering was held.  I actually ran into his daughter on the elevator - there were two girls with Hahn buttons on giggling and running amok, and I asked if they were campaign volunteers.  She said no, he's my dad, and he's going to lose!

Later as I came back from my evening out the bouncers accosted me twice as I tried to find my way back to my room.  Oh and I also saw Chloe Sevigny, who was apparentely there for the event.
