A small address to the convention, by Lumine:
My fellow Progressives, it gives me real joy to witness the first convention of our party. It hasn't been easy, and we have received a lot of attacks (some of them as good spirited jokes, some of them not). But here we are, the third largest party, and the party with the biggest amount of newer members (hell, I'm one of the oldest half!). And that is something unique about our party, because we are not a group of players switching from party to party, because we are not people who can't decide what to do. Our party in unique because it embodies change in many ways.
Change because this party is headed by a new generation.
Change because we use modern tools (web site!).
Change because we accept members from all sides of Atlasia.
Change because we we delivered our promises.
Change because we are not the duopoly.
And I think that is a marvellous chance to prove that. Duke, DemPGH and Dr. Cynic are great candidates, great Atlasians, but this is our first chance to take a shot at the White House and show Atlasia what we are made of. Polling (somewhat unreliable, I know) has us at third, with an actual chance of getting second and then maybe first after two or three ballots. A long shot? Perhaps, but it is our shot, and we are ready to take it. I invite you to join Superique and me on this journey, because I think we can do it, we can win, we can change Atlasia and we can end this cycle of two parties who can't get along.
But Lumine, you don't have the Senate! True, but a candidate from a different party is more likely to reach consensus beyond the bitter partisanship of the two electoral machines.
Lumine, you have no experience and no idea what you're talking about! Wrong. I have been here for a long time, watching, learning, witnessing major events, from Wolfentoad to Pacific Rim, and I have learned from them.
Lumine, you're just wasting time in this election! That's left for the voters to judge.
I don't want to take too much time, but I hope that this humble speech will clarify some of my intentions behind this race.
Thank you very much.
