I'd like to suggest to whoever is the party chair to explain how score voting works whenever we hold a vote.  I think it confuses people and leads to less people voting.

Edit:  I don't really like score voting in general either tbh.

Score voting is not really great, I love preference voting much more.

Score voting is not really great, I love preference voting much more.

The reason I proposed score voting at the foundation of our party is that with preferential voting you are forced to make as many endorsements as possible (and, for example, endorse every unopposed candidate) -- thus diluting the value of the party's endorsement.

aye on Am'ts 1 and 2, nay on the rest.

I would like to thank everyone for the nomination and endorsements for chair, I accept the nomination. I would be happy to try to explain score voting especially in regards to our by-laws, if the amendments pass.

So I believe the 72 hour window of voting has closed for our amendments and all but amendment 5 passed.
Amendment 1: 8 Yeas, 0 Nos
Amendment 2: 7 Yeas, 1 No
Amendment 3: 7 yeas, 1 No
Amendment 4: 6 Yeas, 2 Nos
Amendment 5: 4 Yeas, 4 Nos a tie results in a defeat.
(Of course, this is unofficial, until our chair finalizes it.)

*sigh* sorry guys. I knew I wouldn't have a lot of time this week, but I hadn't thought it would be quite this bad. (*grumble* stupid RNV *grumble*)

This is correct.
Our by-laws now read as follows:

Aye on everything (specially abortion) except Regional Reform. I'm sorry for not speaking before, but I would like to see an even stronger stance, specifying a need for a more efficient government and three regions. We campaign on that on the Presidential election, so I don't think we can backtrack on that, and it's one of the two pillars of this party.

Folks, I've given this a little consideration and I would like to switch my abortion vote to negative. The reason is that given current events I think the wording in the platform is a little too permissive. I think we should be tolerant of positions that differ from our own, and I promise to do that and to do my part to maintain a large tent atmosphere, but I simply am not comfortable with the language of it.

So my votes all stay the same except that one.

LGBT Rights: Choice A
Game Reform: Abstain (Depends on the plan, though - I only oppose reducing just to reduce, or reduction that result in a large net loss of offices)
Abortion: Negative
Rest of them: Affirmative

We could at least be favorable of legalizing abortion in case of rape, anencephaly and when the mother's life is at risk. This is pretty common sense almost with everyone...

Considering the Mideast Assembly was just considering a bill with stricter penalties than Nicaragua, Iran, and Saudi Arabia, I think I agree with you DemPGH.

Personally, I'd be way happier if people just didn't legislate on the issue at all.

Yeah. Did I see the death penalty referenced by someone there?! or I think it might have been a ridiculously long jail sentence. Haha, might be a good time for me to step away for a spell from being A.G. before I do something really rash Wink
