Not that I care that much, Gabu, but the vote is/was officially 5 (Colin, Nym, Hugh, WMS, Gabu) for 16, 2 (Sam Spade, MAS117) for 18, 2 ("Senator" Naso, Supersoulty) not voting.  Smiley

Waaaait a second... we only have 9 senators.  That means 5 is a majority.

Okay, with five in favor of 16 to two in favor of 18, I hereby declare the age in the definition of "child" to be amended to be 16.

With that, and given that there appears to be no further debate on this bill, I hereby open the vote on the full bill.

All senators in favor, vote "yea"; all against, vote "nay".

Aye.

This bill has now reached enough votes to pass; senators now have 24 hours to change their votes.

Definitions:

Child - Any person 18 years old or under.

Should this now say any person 16 years old or under?

Generally, when amendments get passed, the original bill isn't altered; it's just assumed that the amendment has been applied to the bill.

I suppose it wouldn't hurt in this case, however, given that I'm the poster of the original bill.
