Wait, what? Do I have to give feedback even though I sponsored the bill, or?

I'm not sure, but I think you give a go on whether or not we do a vote on those partial things I noted.

Some of the amendments you put in there I would consider friendly (I.e. Prison Labor), however, on the whole (especially on pay periods), I have to object.

There's a procedure for that, Maxwell. Specify everything that's friendly and everything that isn't, and (IIRC) the PPT can hold separate votes with the consent of the Senator offering the amendment.

^
This TNF.

If you agree to the split, I can call 24 hours on what Maxwell didn't object to and also simultaneouly start a vote on what he did object to.

I am fine with splitting the amendment. I am declaring the portion that Maxwell has altered hostile and would encourage all Senators to vote it down.

No. I'm kind of confused. What exactly are we voting on here?

We are voting on the part of your amendment I objected to, the other part is going to go into the bill.

All we did was split your amendment in two as if you had offered them seperately. It would have helped if Maxwell had used the word "objection" instead of "friendly/hostile", which made it seem like one of them became his or something. They both are TNF amendments.

The original one is the one that contains the objected to portions, that way it can go to the vote quicker since it has been the floor longest, whilst the new amendment (dated to your approval of the split) contains the portions that were not objected to and thus can be dealt with without a vote (unless someone else were to object of course).

I also appreciate Nix disproving the "only BK and Yankee know how to do this, narrative". Tongue I probably would not have remembered this interpretative trick since it has been a good six months since it was last done.

I am willing to consider the amendment previously proposed (or mentioned at least) by Senator Tmthforu94 if we can come to some kind of agreement limiting the duration of pay periods.

Funny, I was in the process of writing this as you made your response. Are you okay with the above amendment? If so, I'll add in the section on working age.

The amendment has been adopted.

I think we should get the most recent text together and then see where we are at.
