As promised in the OP, this season is going to start looking ahead to Christmas.  So, in that spirit...

One month from tomorrow on Tuesday, October 15, 2013, I will be putting my bedroom Christmas Tree up for 2013!!  Yes, I'm an early bird.  The living room Christmas Tree will go up on Saturday, November 23, 2013.

Why not just leave the tree up year round? Would save a lot of trouble. And I find the idea of staring at tv for 15 hours a day nauseating, but what people do in their off time is their own business. With the addition of CADD, it is about $9,500 give or take a couple hundred.  I pay $100 on that every month.  It acquires no interest any more so at $9,500 it would take 95 months to pay off if I don't pay extra on it.  I won't be in position to start paying extra on it until next summer after I get my regular loan paid off.  By then, I will be down to the low $8,000s.
