Only if it was limited very clearly to a no-fly-zone and nothing more.

No (R).

I love how most of the D's now approve of military force when the completely denied it 10 years ago. Of course what Bush did was insanely more invasive and violent to other counties, but still. It just shows you how partisan politics gets in the way of every decision.

At this point, I'd vote to authorize military force on anything.

If I were member of Congress and received concrete and clear evidence that Assad's regime was responsibe for the chemical attacks, I could be convinced to vote yes.
Ditto, but at the moment, no.

This is the wrong war at the wrong time and Obama still hasn't told us how he's going to pay for it. Will he have to raise taxes? By how much?

Yes. Surprised at the poll results so far, considering other polls I've seen on the forum. Also interesting to see the Democrats more in favour.

The more I've been analyzing this issue from a political science vantage point, the less I see it as a simple right vs. left issue.

So if Bush didn't invade Iraq and Obama wanted to now you'd support him because you're an Obama supporter?

No (D). The last thing this country needs is another military conflict in the Middle East. As much trust as I give this President, there isn't enough to overcome the forces that are intent on concentrating power in the Presidency.

Certainly not.  The idea is absurd.  Not only do I not support pointless foreign adventurism, I'd rather Assad win anyway.

No (R).  Although I don't condone what the government is doing, I feel like we should have learned our lesson from Iraq by now: don't take military action unless you have all the facts first.

I really don't care- I have a feeling we're going to get sucked in one way or another.

But seeing as "I really don't care" isn't a great reason to vote yes on this kind of thing, I suppose I'd vote no.
