Nope. I was very fortunate to attend Memphis City Schools from K-12. I find the idea of private schools, and especially religious private schools, very distasteful.
Care to explain why?
Spending countless thousands of dollars to wall your child in away from most of the other children in society doesn't rub me the right way. Combining that with counterfactual religious indoctrination is enough to make me nauseated.
I don't think "walling me off from the rest of society" was my parents' intention. I went to a non-religious private school with small class sizes, teachers that were very well-qualified and liked their jobs, parents who were involved, and a curriculum that actually emphasized critical thinking rather than simply handing out a bunch of pre-made worksheets. We also had a lot of students from other countries or who had lived abroad, so it wasn't as if it wasn't a diverse place.
