Blitzer: Wow. This really is one of the closest elections in modern history. Either President Rodham or Senator Scarborough could win if they take Ohio. Who ever takes Ohio will, most likely, take the White House. We’ll be back with some Senate calls after the break.

Blitzer: Here are the results of some key Senate races that we’ve been watching over the past year.

Arizona; Flake: 52%, Carmona: 46%, Other: 2%

Florida; Bush: 51%, Nelson: 49%

Maine; King: 56%, Summers: 26%, Dill: 18%

Massachusetts; Brown: 52%, Maddow: 48%

Missouri; McCaskill: 53%, Wagner: 47%

Virginia; McDonnell: 54%, Moran: 42%, Other: 4%

Blitzer: In the Presidential contest we now have one projection to make at 2:32 AM. This moves us just a bit closer to knowing the results of this roller-coaster of an election. I’m also being told that we have to reverse a call we made earlier. The state of Colorado has not gone for President Roham, it is too close to call, we're being told because of forced recounts due to legal challenges. We'll have more on these challenges as we get it.

Idaho for Scarborough

Blitzer: As the clock is striking 4 AM here in New York CNN can project that President Rodham has won the state of Wisconsin, but Senator Scarborough has won the state of New Hampshire.

Blitzer: It’s nearly 6AM in New York and we are no closer to knowing who the winner of the 2012 Presidential Election is. We’re waiting on several recounts in Ohio and there are lawsuits underway in Colorado regarding voter fraud. Currently, Senator Scarborough is leading in Ohio, 47% to 41% for President Rodham and 12% for former Governor Palin. In Colorado the current votes put former Governor Palin ahead with 43%, followed by President Rodham with 36% and Senator Scarborough with 21%. This is very close, very unexpected, and we could be waiting well into the week for the final call in Colorado - depending on how fast the lawsuits move. In non-electoral news CNN has just received word that President Rodham has, quietly, issued a pardon for her ex-husband, former President William Jefferson Clinton, who is 12 years into his 18 year sentence for multiple counts of perjury.

Blitzer: Well, it’s 17 minutes past noon on the East Coast and CNN can finally project the state of Ohio. Ohio, the Buckeye State, will go for Senator Joe Scarborough. Charles Joseph Scarborough has been elected the 44th President of the United States. Colorado is still outstanding, due to legal challenges.

President Scarborough Sworn In

AP -- January 20, 2013

The second Republican President of the 21st Century was sworn in this afternoon by Chief Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. President Charles J. “Joe” Scarborough received mild support from the crowd, failing to receive the massive throngs that President Rodham received 4 years earlier. In his speech, President Scarborough laid the groundwork for his first term, announcing that he will visit Iraq within his first 100 days, as well as creating a restructuring of the Federal Government: The Department of the Interior will be renamed the Department of Parks and Services and a new Department of the Interior will be established to monitor elections, oversee the FEC, and combat voter fraud. Following the parade, President Scarborough attended a luncheon with Congressional Leaders and the Supreme Court.

Return of Terror?

AP -- April 16, 2013

Terrorism has once again captured our nation. Two bombs exploded at the finish line of the Boston Marathon and have, according to current totals, left at least 13 dead. Minutes after the bombs detonated a video was released by Al Qaeda, showing leader Ayman al-Zawahiri taking responsibility for the attack. President Scarborough, an avid runner, had finished the race nearly 30 minutes before the bombs detonated and was shopping in Quincy Market when the bombs detonated. Remember the flak that President Gore got for hiding in a Colorado bunker during the 3/3/03 attacks in New York, President Scarborough decided to go to the State capitol building and address the nation, asking for calmness and decrying the terrorists for their “cowardly acts.” The President said that America will not “hide in the corner” in response to this attack, rather America will “rise up and confront our attackers.”

Scotland Leaves UK, Cameron Refuses to Recognize New Nation

AP -- October 5, 2014

Last month the people of Scotland voted to leave the United Kingdom and form their own, independent Republic. U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron, who worked out the framework for the referendum and originally agreed to accept the results of the referendum, has done a 180 degree turn and said that his government “does not recognize” the Scottish Republic. Cameron has dispatched Military Police into Scotland to attempt to maintain British control, but they are being met with resistance. President Scarborough announced that the State Department will recognize the independent Scottish Republic yesterday, causing extreme tension between the British and the Americans. White House Press Secretary Bret Baier said that President Scarborough and Prime Minister Cameron would talk about the Scottish Republic over a Skype call later this evening.

British Occupy Scottish Republic

AP -- August 22, 2015

Prime Minister David Cameron officially ordered the British Armed Forces to march into the independent Scottish Republic late last night. This comes after nearly a year of tension between the U.K. and her former constituent nation, as well as tensions between President Scarborough, who has recognized the Scottish Republic, and Prime Minister Cameron. The two have not spoken since a Skype call weeks after Scotland voted for independence in 2014. Defense Secretary Stanley McChrystal said that the U.S. was monitoring the situation very closely and was “ready to intervene on behalf of the citizens of the Scottish Republic.” Secretary of State David Petraeus announced that he was working with his Scottish counterpart to “ensure that the citizens of Scotland remain safe”. President Scarborough is flying to Geneva tomorrow for a planned visit with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees that Chief of Staff Andy Card said has “no connection” to the British occupation of the Scottish Republic.

Any comments now that I've taken this into the future?
  • It's a shame that the NHS is not working
  • It's a shame that Scotland has decided to leave the UK
  • It's a shame that Rodham haven't had the opportunity to be a two-term President and now looks like a woman RL Jimmy Carter.
  • I hope that Scarborough creates another Healthcare Reform at least....
  • Impressed about the Unemployment Numbers! No 2008 Crisis?

Do you have future plans for the Tea Party (I hope so)?
I concur about the NHS Sad
The Scotland idea is interesting, is that something you think could actually happen soon IRL?

Withdrawing from the UK - yes. David Cameron occupying Scotland - not really, but there's a less than 5% chance.

The Tea Party is getting a later start than IRL. Palin's run was a ground-laying campaign. The Tea Party is going to surge in 2017 and 2018.

Don't count Rodham out...she may make a reappearance Wink

I like the sound of Rodham/Kennedy too, and it certainly makes 2020's primary interesting if Obama and Kennedy both run. Speaking of, what has Obama been up to since he left office in 2013?
