45-43 Pryor/Cotton

The poll, which surveyed 600 Arkansas registered voters from Aug. 6-7, was conducted by the Polling Company, Inc./WomenTrend. The margin of error was +/- 4 percent.

So a partisan, if decent pollster. Result's definitely believable. Crosstabs have Pryor up 51/37 with women but Cotton up 48/38 with Indies. ADG Dem columnist John Brummett agrees with everyone else: unless Pryor tries going nuclear he's on track to lose.

So why has Pryor been written off for dead when even the Republicans have him ahead? Is it the assumption that the undecideds will break toward the Republican candidate?

My experience is that the undecided break eventually for the eventual loser if they vote at all.

Democrats are experiencing an unprecedented fall. Going from having a near-lock at the state level to possibly no control at all in six years is beyond disarray.
