The United Kingdom

-The Act of the Union is pushed through Parliament and the Irish House of Commons (which is abolished under the act) by means of bribes and minor political concessions. On January 1st, 1801, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland shall be formed.

-One quarter of the troops currently in British India are ordered to be redeployed to Gibraltar, and Britain.

-Envoys sent to the United States, Sweden, Austria, and Prussia (see the private message for details).

-At the request of the people of Malta, the British Navy sends a squadron to protectively occupy the island.

-All British impressments of US ships within the mid Atlantic are ordered halted for the time being.

The British government reminds the government of Prussia that His Majesty King Georg III is also the ruling sovereign of Hanover, and that the British government has a vested interest west of the Rhine that is worth consideration by the Prussian government.

The Prussian Government acknowledges the sovereignty of King George III and his family over Hannover, but we believe that British interests concern Hannover and Hannover alone, and that those interests have nothing to do with other German states.

The Hanoverian government is free to engage in diplomacy with its neighboring powers as it pleases, and it just so happens that the Hanoverian sovereign will defer to the policy of the British government on this matter. We do not wish to bring our own war to the borders of Prussia; in fact, we seek to prevent it. We wish to keep the French out of Germany for the same reasons as your own government.

The United Kingdom

-The British force in Malta is ordered to withdrawal from Gibraltor on the arrival of the Russians. Further reenforcements are sent to Gibraltor and Ireland.

-A special session of the House of Commons is called to debate the best way forward in the war with France. Until then, the status quo is to be kept up.

-Prime Minister Pitt introduces a Catholic Emancipation Bill to the House of Commons.
