I emailed my instructor immediately after I got out of the doctor and he is okay with me missing one more day.  Tomorrow is not a big day, anyway, as its mostly picnics both in the morning and afternoon with very little class time.  I will give him the doctor's note on Tuesday.  There are a couple ladies who have missed as much, if not more, than I have and are still there.  I'm not worried at all.

Did he say something along the lines of "you can miss one more but if you miss any more after that don't bother showing up again"? He must be getting pretty frustrated with you.

They don't boot you for attendance issues. They'll let you do all the work and then even if you have a passing grade you'll just fail because of not being there enough.

It is a good day so far.  I feel pretty good right now.  I think I'm going to spend a little while this afternoon going over my school work, mainly lesson 3, so I can stay somewhat on schedule for Tuesday.  I can do everything here except for taking the test, of course, but I hope to get far enough by Monday night to be able to take the lesson 3 test Tuesday.

This is America. Being sick is not allowed. If you want to get sick, you need to go to one of those socialist European countries. I hear in some of them, they actually help you get better by letting you see a doctor and requiring employers to pay you while you're ill. Must be nice!

Dude... you're not sick to the point that you should be skipping class.  I have employees at work like you - they call off for sniffles and stuff like that.  You know what?  They end up getting fired (although if they brought in doctor's notes, they wouldn't - so I'll at least give you credit for that).  But quit playing the pity card.  Do you know how many times I've called off for being sick in the past 7.5 years?  ZERO.  Do you know how many times I've called off at all?  ONE.  You're not that sick.  Grow the frak up, dude.
