I've got the weirdest.... Tongue

I encourage everyone to review this, utilize personal experience and such forth as a means to indentify areas of problems.

I think it would be wise to find out how much these groups receive under current aid programs and thus if anyone actually loses ground if they were to select this system. Then we will know who is least likely to select to use the new system.

Oh come on Yankee, where's your spirit of adventure? We need to pass the bill so we'll know what's in it Tongue

Where did you get "pass the bill, so we'll know what is in it"? I haven't heard that before Madame Speaker. Tongue

Like I said before, once we know what aid these people receive in these various income groups, then we would have a pretty good idea of who will take which system and then it is just a matter of researching the size of each group.

I could get it myself if I knew where to look. My problem is the mass navigation and of course download speed if it is in a pdf format.

Oh and one more thing, I PMed Superique and Sjoyce but since Joyce swore in today, that probably won't produce anything, but anyway I PMed them to see if they new where to acqurie this information about the benefits each of those groups received under the programs slotted for restriction as listed in the President's post above.

However we don't have any other options and we need the information.

Like I said before, if I knew where to look, I might be able to find it myself. But researching online blindly is difficult on such a slow connection. Plusi t would be real life data and need to be altered to reflect the in game situation.

I would really like to get this finished this week. I want to put two bills through this slot before the Senate ends.

I'm fine with putting this to a vote at this point (although I'd prefer to see something like my suggested amendment adopted). We've created a reasonably well-designed proposal together, but its odds of passing are slim and unless there's a Senator who wants to put more work into this, it's time for the Senate to move on.

We could do that while we are waiting.

If we had those numbers, we could tell both who would fall through the cracks and how much this is likely to cost more precisely. However, without a GM or even the hint of one in the near future trying to subsitute with the SoIA was never a good idea.

Since it seems people are a go for a final vote here, I will do so. If a text is presented or somethign tangible, I will gladly halt it if practical to do so.

Senators, this is now at final vote, please vote Aye, Nay or Abstain.

Nay. There has been a lot of good things done to this, and I almost considered voting for this as a replacement of our welfare programs, but I don't think I can endorse a basic income. period.

AYE.

It is not perfect, and I will seek to amend it in the future to make the program better, but it is a start and I support the creation of the Nixcome as the first step towards a truly universal basic income policy.

Aye

This bill has been transformed from something completely unworkable to a system that offers the new possibility for low income families to better use their subsidies to control their destiny. Thank you to all of you who have contributed and compromised to make this possible.
