It might look cool, and I think that watching pretty women smoke is cool and sexy, but it's not cool when you get lung cancer, emphysema, etc.

Not to mention deadly.  And let's not forget that a lot of the anti-facts "FREEEEEEEEDOOOOOMMM" rhetoric that has infested the Right like a cancer these days, and which I absolutely consider to be the number one threat to America today, can be directly traced to Big Tobacco's decades-long effort to cover up the deadly and addicting nature of their product. 

I don't hate smokers- I pity them.  Nicotine is one of the most addicting substances out there, it's no shame if you can't quit.  But I have even more sympathy for those poor unfortunates who do not smoke, but are forced to take in their ill vapors through bonds of work, friendship, and family.

Smokers seem to be completely unaware of how much they reek to non-smokers.  My smoker friends deny it, but I can smell them walking up from around the corner every time.
