Since it was a classical concert and thus no band shirts, I presume BRTD won't be offended.

Okay, I realize he has administrative duties to attend to, but as the Pope he does need to attend at least some social functions.  What I think he should have done was gone to the concert, but instead of that big gaudy throne they set up for him, insist on a plain white chair no bigger than that of the other attendees and not set off apart from all the other chairs.

I sympathize with the Pope wanting to attend to other affairs, but it's a shame he couldn't let them know before hand so there wouldn't be that big empty chair there. Oh well.

He wanted to make a statement. Jesus never felt obligated to attend classical music concerts on a throne.

That big chair likely contributed to his decision to do it that way.  He's not dumb and he had to realize how effective as an image of his rebuke it would be beyond mere words.

No, but he did attend a good number of weddings.

Just noticed the reference to me here.

But yeah good for him, this concert looked boring as f**k. I mean sitting on that chair the whole time? How the f**k are you supposed to dance? Also full of boring people too based on that pic. Does this place even serve alcohol and is it full of hilarious wasted people? That concert looks like it'd be utter hell to sit through, comparable to a metal show.
