Great read, I would have been happy with either Christie or Huckabee, and could you please give us the results for Kansas, North Carolina and Minnesota, along with the states that each candidate did best and worst in?

Thanks, would have thought Utah would have been Christie's best state, although Idaho sounds about right as well. And Huckabee outpolling Christie in Kansas - That would have hurt, considering Christie won NE and OK.

I am not sure about the South. Cory Booker can turn out the minority vote. Democrats get about 40%-45% of the vote in GA in a Presidential Election, for example every election. Huckabee and Santorum are popular in rural Georgia and Christie and Rubio are more popular in Metro-Atlanta. Only if the GOP manage to fend off a rebellion in the Rural Counties they may loose more of the States in the South than y'all are predicting.
Christie and Rubio don't connect with bible belt voters like Huckabee and Santorum, I could see a lot of the GOP in the South voting with their heart for Huckabee over their head for Christie. That would leave enough room for the Democrats to squeak in for a win.

I've always wondered about Connecticut. Christie would have had to spend a lot of time in that small state to win over enough Booker voters to offset his losses on the right to Huckabee.

Connecticut

Christie         780,014     46.76%
Booker          761,165     45.63%
Huckabee     126,944       7.61%

Also I think it's fair to say Sebelius as Veep isn't very likely. Tongue
