amendment passed to the constitution to allow presidents to serve more than 2 non consecutive terms.

bill clinton wins the democrat nomination, picks nc governor mike easley as his running mate.

Clinton against Bush there is no commander-in-chief threshold, unlike the one Kerry failed to meet. Clinton's charisma and his ability to shift the focus onto jobs and the promise to end the War in Iraq in a reasonable and effective manner allows hims a narrow win over Bush. Strangely the electoral vote tally is the same as in real life, though Clinton clams a bigger share of the popular vote than W.

Clinton/Easley: 286 (51.0%)
Bush/Cheney: 252 (47.9%)

Bush/Cheney: 190 (47.5%)
