Feburary 24, 2032

Hello everyone. It's Charles here telling everyone from New York's 3rd Congressional District to make sure to re-elect me in congress this year. This will be my third term in the house if I win (which I will). I also aspire to run for Senate in 2034. I know this will be hard but I want to make the once deep blue (and now light blue) New York have TWO Republican senators. I know this hasn't happened since 1977 but with already one republican senator from New York (Jack Martins) anything is possible.

As all of you know (unless you have been living under a rock), the country and its allies have been in war for almost three years against the axis of The New Soviet Union, Communist France, China, The Islamist Alliance, Cuba, The United Socialist Rebpublics of Scandinavia, Venezuela, Argentina and Korea. President Newsom has been largely blamed for causing this war for not protecting our ally Turkey against invasion from Iran. There have been two invasions of Turkey in the recent years: the one in 2025 under President Rubio's timewatch that got straightened out in six short months and the one in 2029 during Newsom's administration that snowballed into the Third World War we are fighting today. IMHO, if you don't want a nuclear Holocaust, Vote ABN (anyone but Newsom!)

Here are the contenders as of now. They are listed by popularity among people from their respective party from a recent poll:

Democratic Party

Gavin Newsom--age 64--incumbent President of the US from California

Going into the Democatic nomination unchallenged is sitting president Gavin Newsom. Yes, he did cause the Third World War IMHO but he is still loved by his party who claim the war was "inevitable" and snowballed from the "weak foriegn policy of the Rubio administration."

Republican Party

Aaron Schock--age 50--Junior US Senator from Illinois

The clear Republican front-runner. He has an impressive resume: he was a US Representative from Illinois, a former two-term governor of the state and currently a US Senator. He is also credited with making Illinois a red state which was previously deep blue two decades ago when Obama was president. Schock also lost his girlfriend, an American general several months ago in the war when she was killed by a Soviet sniper. He earlier had a brief relationship with fellow Republican candidate Selena Gomez back in the '10s when he was still a congressman and she was an actress.

Selena Gomez--age 39--Junior US Senator from Texas

I used to have a huge crush on this girl when I was in high school. In fact, she was a Disney star 25 years ago and an international sex symbol just 15 years ago; not a conventional career before going into politics. Selena also was a chief campaigner for former President Rubio when he ran successfully both in the elections of 2020 and 2024. Gomez is a big hit with young male voters but not that much with women (she is strictly opposed to abortion). Although being extremely conservative on social issues she has many liberal views concerning the environment and immigration. If she wins she will be the second hispanic president (although she is only half) and the third Catholic president in a row (Christie, Rubio, Newsom and then her). Gomez also would be the youngest president ever and of course, the first female president. We already have a female VP (Stephanie H. Sandlin) so it's about time we get a woman for president! Interestingly, she went out with the late teen singer Justin Bieber, whose early death at age 24 illustrates how fame at an early age can negatively impact a person.

Dwayne Johnson--age 59--former governor of Florida

Another extremely popular candidate in the race is former 2-term governor of Florida, Dwayne Johnson. Johnson a more moderate Republican in the vein of Chris Christie provides an alternative his main competitor Schock and his hard right policies. Johnson formerly was an actor and wrestler known as "the Rock." He hopes to be the second African Anerican president and the first Asian-Pacific American president.

Eric Cantor--age 68--former Vice-President from Virginia

The most experienced of all the candidates, he was the former House majority leader, House Speaker, and Vice-President under Rubio. Cantor was only the third person (after Schuyler Colfax and John N. Garner) to serve as both Speaker of the House and VP! As VP, Cantor helped build the first moon base in 2024 called For Cantor in his honor. Cantor was the Republican candidate in 2028 but lost in a close election to Newsom. Many people say that his decision of picking Nikki Haley as VP greatly contributed to this. Can Cantor come back this year despite his loss and his age?

David Henrie--age 42--Junior US Senator from Arizona

The libertarian vice-presidential nominee in 2028, Henrie became a senator in a special election to take the seat of John McCain after his death in 2024. An interesting fact about him is that he starred on the children's TV "Wizards of Waverly Place" alongside fellow candidate Selena Gomez (his "sister" on the show). Though Henrie is a republican he strongly agrees with many views of the Libertarian party and ran on the bottom of their ticket in 2028. He has stated that he will seek the libertarian nomination if he fails to get nominated for the Republican ticket.

Nicole Malliotakis--age 50--former governor of New York

The popular governor of New York from 2025 to 2031 following the resignation of Michael Grimm to serve as President Rubio's Secretary of Commerce, Malliotakis hopes she too can become the first woman to be president. She has a strong following among moderates Republicans and independents in the Northeast opposed to the more conservative front runners such as Schock, Gomez and Cantor.

Ashley Swearengin--age 58--governor of California

Popular in her home blue state of California she has a close group of supporters who like her economic plans as governor of and previously mayor of San Diego. A popular mayor of Fresno, she famously defeated President Newsom's former lieutenant governor Xavier Becerra in the epically close Gubernatorial Election of 2022. Will two Californian rivals face each other again in the election?

Wayne Allyn Root--age 70--US Senate Minority Leader from Nevada

A former Las Vegas oddsmaker, his biggest achievement was when he defeated former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in a landslide in 2012. He soon rose through the ranks to become Minority Leader of the US Senate. A former libertarian himself representing the libertarian wing of the Republican Party, Root finished second to Vice-President Cantor in the 2028 republican primaries but this election, his age is proving to be a problem over many of the voters.

Rand Paul--age 69--Senior US Senator from Kentucky

A perrenial candiadate, he ran for the nomination of the Republican Party for every year since 2016. However, like his father, he hasn't had much success. In 2016, he after failing to get the Republican nomination ran for the ticket of short-lived Tea Party.

Ayla Brown--age 43--governor of Massachusetts

The moderate governor of deep blue Massachusetts and daughter of former Governor and Senator Scott Brown, as well as a former contestant on the old reality show "American Idol," Ayla Brown hasn't had enough support as she wanted and stands close to the bottom of the Republican polls.

Ken Cuccinelli--age 63--former US Attorney General from Virginia

Cuccinelli was the governor of Virginia for two years (2018-2021) before being appointed by former President Rubio to serve as attorney general throughout his entire administration. "The Cooch's" status as an unknown is what causes him to poll last place among his fellow Republicans. However, he is not giving up anytime soon.

I think since Shock and Cantor are the front-runners one of them will win.  I'm  not sure who I want to win yet...  But I do want to see more.

Can we have a list of Presidents/Vice Presidents and a list of losing tickets for the elections between 2016 and 2032 so this becomes easier to follow?

What.

Oh dear lord what has happened to my state.

You realize that this man was born and went to college in Houston, got his JD in Austin, clerked in the Northern District of Texas is Deputy Finance Chairman of the Republican Party of Texas, works and lives in Fort Worth, and is running for Texas Land Commissioner, right?

I know you can only work with so much for an election nearly 20 years away, but I think there this TL is way too reliant on both celebrities and children of politicians entering politics and succeeding at a high level.

Dwayne Johnson (R-FL)
Most Recent Title: Governor of Florida

What.

I see the drug trade is flourishing in Florida.

Yes, the Rock does become Governor of Florida after he wins in a landslide in 2022. Also, I thought George P. Bush was from Florida. Thanks for telling me. I will have him move to Florida sometime in the late 2010's because it's his dad's state after all.

Its okay, simple mistake, maeby he meant Jebby Bush, not George P...

I do heir politicians if I'm tired and/or bored of creating fictional ones....

EDIT: Hey anyone who is reading this just to read another timeline, to avoid annoying and boring conversations, skip to page 3!

I really wanted to have 100% factual people for this election and also, who wouldn't want to see Selena Gomez run for president?

To assume that any celebrity on this list is a Republican is asinine and completely far-fetched. Your love of Selena Gomez is a dead giveaway to the incredible likelihood that you are 13. This is a terrible timeline and I feel sick from reading it.

If you don't like this TL just stop reading it. Also, it's funny that you are saying that I act like a 13 year old because I am actually older than you.

BTW, what's wrong with Selena being a Republican? She's from Texas, passionate about her religion, opposed to abortion and appeared on Fox News and yes, Hannity several times. Even if she is a Democrat now, she can still change. I bet in 1944, people would call me insane if I said that a liberal actor in several corny movies would become a Republican less than 20 years later and eventually become Governor of California and even President of the United States.

Also, the Rock is a registered Republican as of now and that is a fact. All the other people are clear Republicans and Democrats.

1. If you don't like a timeline don't read it
2. Keep criticism constructive plz errybody
3. It's entirely legitimate for a timeline to be focused on entertainment or storytelling at the expense of realism
4. Oh my god is this a timeline that features Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson oh hell yes please sign me up I don't care about anything else

Awesome comeback Charles!

Thanks! Cheesy
