If Jerry Brown chooses not to seek reelection in 2014, which is plausible for he will be 76 and has already served three terms, I could see Kamala Harris easily winning the Governorship in 2014 and maybe running for President in 2020 if there is a Republican incumbent, or if there is a Democratic incumbent who decides not to seek reelection (quite possible if Hillary or Biden is elected in 2016).
