44/42 approval, Foxx leads the GOP field with 23% to Berger's 11%. Hagan leads Tillis 45/40, Brannon 44/40 and Cain 46/38.

Hagan is in the low 40's with name recognition. Tillis will give her a race but Foxx will lose in a landslide.

I don't see how Tillis can give her a race, his legislature will drag him down.

NC just like Illinois has a lot of one time senators. This seat is in play other than foxx.

It doesn't change the fact that Tillis' time as speaker makes him a non-starter even more so then Foxx in my opinion.

I don't think it's fair to said that. It's more about circumstances.

John Porter East died from a suicide. Terry Sanford got a heart valve infection and wasn't able to campaign. John Edwards was on the presidential ticket and didn't seek relection. Elizabeth Dole doesn't even live in North Carolina.

So you liked it when Dole was knocked out after one term?

That would be "curious," as you like to say. Your cute little trolling act is starting to contradict itself.

I can't say I cared much one way or another. Dole wasn't much of a Senator.

I expect the Dems to have the majority. GOP will gain 4 seats.

I am not that pessimistic. Expect to see some unforced errors on the part of Republicans.
