I was unaware that it's a 'fact' that global warming is man-made.

The evidence is so overwhelming, that you have to be either a tool, in subconscious denial or an idiot not to recognize it.

Well, this sucks. The thread has gone to hell! The weather talk was only funny when Inks and Bushie were battling. Now that Bushie has heeled to Inks, it's just incredibly boring.

Wait, so if you don't go to church, it's canceled?

No, we only have a handful of people who come on Sunday nights anyway, so if the weather conditions warrant, I will make the decision by 2:30-2:45 and then I, along with the Pastor's wife (my cousin), will call all the members before 3:30.  I will also make an announcement during the morning service saying if tornadic or real severe storms threaten our area, consider church cancelled.  If its just a general thunderstorm like we had last night, we'll have church like normal.

Indeed, Walter

Tornado Watch #182 for Central and Eastern Oklahoma until 2300.  The dryline is just to the east of Weatherford and storms are trying to fire right now along the dry line.  The cap is getting much, much weaker and it should break shortly.  When it does, storms will explode into the strong rotating supercells.  Threats exist for very large hail, strong damaging winds, and strong tornadoes.  The storms should move through Oklahoma City between 1600-2000.  After 2000, the threat will push into the Tulsa Metro Area and much of Northeastern Oklahoma.  Oklahoma County's biggest threat is within the next 6 hours.  Stay tuned...

This could be fun for the next few hours!!

Wall to wall coverage - Here we go, folks!!  A storm just southwest of El Reno is going up rapidly and spinning already.  Moving toward Bethany by 1530.

do some jumping jacks, sit ups, march in place whatever while you are watching the coverage. You might want to look at an exercise bike (walmart has a recumbent cycle for $130). Doesn't take up too much space and is easier on the joints and bones. You also won't have to worry about the weather.  From the pic posted of you back in 2008, I say you most certainly have some form of obstructive sleep apnea. I'm guessing you are in even worse shape now? This is a big reason why you are always tired.

Tornado on the ground in the NW Metro.  I've got to go to a packing party.  Later!

I was unaware that it's a 'fact' that global warming is man-made. And even if it is, that has no impact on how he does his job. Why global warming exists doesn't impact meteorologists.

Co2 is a greenhouse gas.  Burning of fossil fuels by humans has increased the amount of co2 in the atmosphere.

Those are facts.

And I'm unaware that he's disputed those facts.  In fact, I'm pretty sure he's said otherwise.  Thanks for proving my point though.

The evidence is not as overwhelming as many people think; the potential consequences of any global warming, man-made or not, are certainly less certain than many people claim.

Ultimately, global warming's cause has no effect on Spann's forecasting, and he's good at severe weather forecasting and good at getting out the messages when and where they need to get out.  The man's saved a lot of lives.

Mom and Dad have a carport, and Oklahoma County is finished with the storms.  Shawnee Mall just got slapped and may get slapped, again.  Cars are flipped on I-40 in Shawnee.

The packing party was packing supplies into suitcases that will be our 2nd checked bag.

Pray for the folks west of Shawnee in Bethel Acres.  They were the hardest hit by the tornadoes and there have been some lives lost and homes destroyed.

It looks like the dry line which is right over I-35 is trying to fire up, again.  It wouldn't be impossible for these to develop, but with night fall the cap is getting stronger and will likely close in on top of these plumes and choke them out.

But anything that does punch through is going to have access to a LOT of energy.  As of now, that looks pretty unlikely.
