Kind of depends on what is meant by "aimless," but I'll just say pretty clearly the second one. There is no point whatsoever to the first, although it might, might be within the realm of possibility for someone to do something good with it, but it's mostly going to contribute to emotional stress and torment, and there is enough real stress in life to manage, so why create faux stress? Just live and be happy and healthful, hopefully. In the end, we're finite and you just come to terms with it.

Write-in: a contented, Christian life

At least, that's my personal decision.  So far, it's worked well for me.

Another one of those false Hobson's choice polls I see. Abstain.

Yeah.  With all due respect, this poll is composed of nothing but shallow assumptions and stereotypes.  Not all Christians live with "existential angst" just as not all atheists live "aimless lives."  It's not impossible for the opposite to be true in many cases.

True. I'm far less angst ridden now I'm no longer a Christian. My confidence and my mental health has increased considerably. Whatever's your poison.

Angst is what we aim for.
