I'm sad to see you leave the Mideast, but I know you will do a great job as a Senator!

Too bad you won't get enough votes for PPT. You would have been the best for it! Maybe next time!

TNF, your views on Israel are extremely flawed. Israel has been the one acting in self-defense since May of 1948. When nearly every country in your region wants to drive you into the sea and have attempted to do so on numerous occasions, wouldn't you understand why the have to maintain the military that they do. The sanctions against Israel by the Atlasian government must end and we treat all countries as George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and both Ron and Rand Paul and that is this. Peace, commerce and honest trade with all nations and entangling alliances with none. With that said, we should end all foreign aid by this government to even the playing field. Israel's enemies receive nearly ten times what Israel does in any sort of aid.

Black Friday is not a holiday. Forcing businesses to double pay on that day will hurt the economy.

Did you just compare the Paul's with Washington and Jefferson?

I am disappointed that all but two of the personages honored are white.

I am prepared to correct this problem at once. Who did you have in mind, comrade?

Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Che Guevara?

Che Guevara was very white.

My apologies

Oh lordy, look at all those things you've been able to pass.

Now now, I seem to remember having quite a bit of help from a certain someone on a few of those bills. Wink

It should be noted that 31 of those 37 acts had support from a member of the Federalist Party and/or Democratic-Republican Party. While 14 had unanimous support (not counting abstentions).

Good suggestions. I'm particularly amazed that the lifetime tenure of Supreme Court justices was never seriously been examined in the time that I was active (and as far as I know, hasn't been visited since).

During my brief time in the Senate I attempted to put a term-limit of like 2-3 years on Supreme Court justices. There might have even been a claus that would have grandfathered current justices and allowed them to keep their position as long as they wanted it. Still, the amendment failed miserably.

I am willing to place the NTB under the control of the Governor on the condition that it retains the autonomy to act in defense of workers' picket lines and working class communities.

I'd be willing to put forward legislation of this nature to the Althing. Seems like it would be a good compromise and prevent any potential future complications.

Also what is your opinion on my proposed new Constitution? Would you be willing to assist in its passage? Are there any amendments you'd like to see be made?
