Jesse Ventura Campaign Schedule: September 3-9

September 3
-Rally and Fundraiser in Bloomington, MN
-Rally and Fundraiser in Duluth, MN
-Rally and Fundraiser in Rochester, MN
-Rally and Fundraiser in St. Paul, MN
-Rally and Fundraiser in Minneapolis, MN
-Meeting with Arne Carlson (seeking endorsement)

Ah, it's good to be back home! And I'm a little happier than usual right now, because I took notice that the mainstream news actually covered our big rally in New York City the other day. You know what this means, don't you? It means that they realize that we'll be a force in this election! Our hard work is finally starting to pay off! But we can't take a break here. No, we gotta keep marching on, waging the good battle, because there's still so many more Americans out there who haven't been exposed to the message. That's why I need your help once more, Minnesota.

September 4
-Rally and Voter Registration in Fridley, MN
-Rally and Voter Registration in Savage, MN
-Rally and Voter Registration in Farmington, MN
-Rally and Voter Registration in Elk River, MN
-Rally and Voter Registration in Inver Grove Heights, MN
-Meeting with Al Quie (seeking endorsement)

Now we're at a point in this race that we have to do the hard work, and that's registering more folks for the polls. I was able to win the governorship here because thousands of people became new voters on election day since they were able to register then, because there were just that many excited about my campaign. Unfortunately, we don't have the ability to register on election day in all of the states, so we must do this before it's too late. I'm confident that there are plenty of ordinary people out there, disgusted by this political system, who are willing to give me a shot.

September 5
-Rally and Voter Registration in New Berlin, WI
-Rally and Voter Registration in Janesville, WI
-Rally and Voter Registration in Eau Claire, WI
-Speech at American Civil Liberties Union (seeking endorsement)
-Appearance on Hannity

I'm the only candidate in this election who has even given an ounce of concern about the eroding freedoms of Americans. It's been done by both parties, Republicans and Democrats, who've conspired against the people who brought them into office with the disguise of "keeping them safe." You're more likely to get killed by a bolt of lightning than by a terrorist! And yet we somehow have let them get away with obscene measures like the PATRIOT Act and the NSA wiretapping virtually everything. I recognize that Washington has way overstepped its constitutional boundaries, and I would do everything in my power to restore the Bill of Rights back to the people. That's why I'm here to seek your endorsement and to help me in this battle, because I cannot do it alone.

September 6
-Rally and Voter Registration in Racine, WI
-Rally and Voter Registration in Kenosha, WI
-Rally and Fundraiser in Madison, WI
-Rally and Fundraiser in Milwaukee, WI
-Appearance on Hardball with Chris Matthews

Matthews: Are you satisfied with where your campaign is going, Governor Ventura?

Ventura: I am, Chris. The media at first brushed me off, like they always have whenever I ran. But I've shocked them twice before, winning to be both a mayor and a governor. What's to say I still can't do that? My record is 2-0 so far. And the money is pouring in, the crowds are bigger than ever, and you people in the mainstream media are even starting to give me a little slack now! So, there's nothing to worry about so far in my mind. I'm looking forward to the debates, I'll tell ya that much.

September 7
-Town Hall in Whitefish, MT
-Town Hall in Havre, MT
-Rally and Fundraiser in Great Falls, MT
-Rally and Fundraiser in Missoula, MT
-Rally and Fundraiser in Billings, MT
-Appearance on Anderson Cooper 360

Montana has a sort of history of being skeptical of the federal government, and I'd say that's a good thing. It shows that the people here have an independent streak, and they know what's best for themselves instead of having bureaucrats down your throat all of the time. Ron Paul and I share these basic beliefs, and I'm confident that Montana will go down my column in November, because I'm the only candidate who's willing to speak the truth on these issues.

September 8
-Rally and Voter Registration in Auburn, ME
-Rally and Voter Registration in South Portland, ME
-Rally and Voter Registration in Bangor, ME
-Rally and Voter Registration in Lewiston, ME
-Rally and Voter Registration in Portland, ME

I'm glad to be here with your former governor, Angus King. He and I have been pals for more than a decade. We were the only two independent governors in the entire nation. I remember when we attended the National Governors Association one year, we felt a little out of place, because we didn't really have a side to associate with! Governor King knows as well as I do, though, that it's not good at all to be partisan. There are many opportunities to reach out on both sides of the aisle, so consensus can be reached. All it takes is some courage.

September 9
-Rally and Voter Registration in Bloomington, IN
-Rally and Voter Registration in Carmel, IN
-Rally and Fundraiser in Fort Wayne, IN
-Rally and Fundraiser in Indianapolis, IN
-Appearance on Meet the Press

We can have a revolution in this country. I'm not talking about a violent one at all here. This would be completely peaceful, and it would happen at the ballot box. You see, you have an actual choice this time around. We have two tickets that you may rightly label as stooges for the corporate elite, but you have one ticket that's owned by no man, woman, or organization. And if that ticket happens to get in the White House this year, well, that would send shockwaves across the world like no other.

Surrogate Schedules

Walter Jones, Jr.: Barnstorming, Fundraisers, and Voter Registration in North Carolina, Virginia, Missouri, and Pennsylvania

Shoot, y'all are desperate for an update...then no one posts!

I plan on doing the update tomorrow or Sunday. If no one else posts...well, expect a Ventura surge.

"The President will be engaging in a two-week bus tour with Former Secretary Clinton, Vice-President Biden, and President Clinton. He'll be traveling to every swing state and every leaning state on the map. This campaign won't quit no matter what the polls say. We're gonna prove to the middle class that Barack Obama stands up for them, and Kelly Ayotte just wants to take us back to Bush.

Unemployment was skyrocketing, the stock market was crashing, and our deficit was at all time highs. Then President Obama came up to bat, and he hit it outta the park. No, we're not where we need to be. But give him, give us 4 More Years, and we'll finish the job. We've cut the deficit by a trillion over the next decade, we'll cut it even more. We've created 5 Million jobs, we'll keep on doin' it. We can't let Kelly Ayotte and the Republican Party take us back to where we were. We need to keep moving Forward!"

Republican Speech exerpts for the Week of September 3rd

"The Democrats say we ought to give Barack Obama credit for trying. That sounds like the nonsense of giving every kid a trophy for showing up. Friends, we’re talking about leading the country, not playing on a fifth-grade soccer team! I realize this is the man who got a Nobel Peace Prize for what he would potentially do, but in the real world, you get the prize for producing something good, not just promising it and then failing at it. ”

"With the way this administration has been running things the EPA should now be called‘Employment Prevention Agency'.  They have been destroying a important part of our economy, and they don't want to screw this up more than already have.

“Barack Obama’s failed us. But look, it’s understandable. A lot of people fail at their first job.  He has failed you the African American Community.  He has done nothing to combat the record high unemployment we face.  He has done nothing to try and stop the urban decay and violence we are facing in this country's cities.  Even in his home town of chicago we see huge amounts of murder every week, and we hear nothing from this White House.”

RealClearPolitics

Polling Update

NATIONAL AVERAGE

Obama/Biden: 48%
Ayotte/Christie: 43%
Ventura/Paul: 7%
Undecided/Other: 2%

Analysis:
The Democrats are enthused and running and active campaign, though they received a setback this when former President Clinton was sharply criticized for calling the Tea Party "stupid". Analysts argue that both parties need to start coming out with solutions, rather than just criticize the other side. Folks also argue that the Democrats are acting too dismissive towards Republicans, coming across arrogant at times. With such negativity, could we see a rise among third-parties?

September 10th - 16th has now begun! Smiley

Turn will last for roughly 72 hours.

Jesse Ventura Campaign Schedule: September 10-16

September 10
-Town Hall in Wasilla, AK
-Town Hall in Lakes, AK
-Rally and Voter Registration in Juneau, AK
-Rally and Voter Registration in Fairbanks, AK
-Rally and Fundraiser in Anchorage, AK

I know Alaska is a truly independent state--heck, you broke the two-party system and elected Wally Hickel two decades ago! You know when you see bull, and let me tell you, I happen to see a lot of bull coming from the two parties right now. They're going off in petty talk, insulting others and actually avoiding the issues. This ticket is different. I wasn't enthusiastic about jumping back in politics, but I did so because Washington is so hopelessly dysfunctional the way things are. So come, join this campaign and let your voices be heard for a change!

The Democrats and Republicans have both been complicit in this hideous War on Drugs going on since Nixon. Each passing administration has given billions of dollars coming from you, the taxpayers, and with what to show? More than a million people each year are arrested for nonviolent drug charges, and life only gets harder because they can't find a job with that on their records once they're released. With such a bloated and corrupt institution like the criminal justice system, you think something would eventually be done, but almost no one has had the courage to speak up on this. As President, I'll put a stop to this War on Drugs immediately, focus the nation's attention on mental health and rehabilitation, and save money and lives in the end. Vote for me, Colorado, and vote on Amendment 64 this November!

Something that has often been completely ignored by the two behemoths that we call political parties is the fact that the freedoms that you and I share are evaporating before our very eyes. Think about this: the President of the United States now claims that he is able to indefinitely detain anybody he likes, without the need for a trial or even a charge. Is this something we should be happy with, if we're supposedly a freedom-loving republic? I'm happy at the very least that there have been some brave souls, including your two Senators, who have consistently been with the people, but much work needs to be done to reverse this tyranny, and that starts by kicking out the crooks in office right now.

Minnesota, let's go back to 1998. The state media was completely against us. They derided my campaign as a joke even though I ran the state's fifth biggest city before running. The Democrats and Republicans did not see me as a threat. I was polling at 10% before the debates, but after them, we ultimately ended up at 37% come election day. Now it's 2012, and I see that the Democrats and Republicans are still being ugly in their politics, not actually caring about the people they supposedly represent. Don't you all feel like it's time for fresh blood once more?

You see Obama and Ayotte out there, talking bad about the other side like their lives depended on it, but when was the last time that you actually heard substance come out of the mouth of either of them? I sure can't remember. But in contrast, this whole campaign of mine has been solution-oriented, and week after week I've been talking straight with the American people on issues that affect them. I want to change how politics works in this country from the ground up, but I think of the usual candidates as empty suits since they're proposing nothing really different from how things are now. Ron Paul and I have spent our entire political careers defying the system, and I would be honored to receive your vote this election.

Here in NYC, we've seen the Occupy Wall Street protests in full force, which I'm a strong supporter of. You're seeing people exercise their First Amendment rights because they're worried about what direction this country is taking. Well, I'm with ya. The financial crisis of 2008 has shown us all that there's a lot of crooks in Wall Street as well as in Washington, since nobody has been prosecuted for the fraud going on behind the scenes. How can we let fat cats off like that so easily? Well, I have a hunch. Look at who finances the two big parties: it's the very same banks and corporations that make up big business in this country! They've got the Democrats and Republicans tied to their backs. I've got none of the big money like the parties may have, but I know that I have the will of the people on my side, and I'm growing more confident by the day that November 6 will mark the beginning of a revolution.

Michigan has definitely been hit by this last recession, and our economy is still way too sluggish nationwide. We need to come together and come up with a real plan for boosting economic growth again. The government may throw all the money it wants as a stimulus and hope for the best, but we've seen how little that has produced. Government doesn't create jobs, folks, it's the private sector. What government needs to do is create the best possible environment for people to conduct business. That starts with reducing the tax burden for Americans, so they'll have more to save and invest for the long run. In my first month in office, I'll be introducing a new tax plan for America--one that's easier to understand, less punitive for Americans, and that will still pay the bills in the end.

Radio Ad: Veterans

Jesse Ventura served in the Navy as part of the Underwater Demolition Team. Ron Paul served in the Air Force as a flight surgeon. As the only veterans in this election, Ventura and Paul understand the needs of our troops like the other candidates don't. They realize that the wars have been putting troops' lives in risk. Inadequate medical care is provided, and many veterans have physical or mental health problems that are not properly treated. Now is the time to rethink our foreign policy, and the people who serve our country must be taken care of first. I'm Jesse Ventura, and I approve this message.

To be played nationwide.

There has been plenty of time to post an update - Ventura will be receiving a boost this week as a result. However, I will still give the major candidates tonight to post their schedule - an update WILL COME TOMORROW!

Chris Christie:
"It's time for a change, and this time it's real change!"

Governor Christie addresed a Republican meeting back in New Jersey, saying that it's time to go in full force to defeat the President.

"Well, well, well... It looks like Jesse Ventura is rising on the polls and the President is ahead! Well, Gov. Ventura sure does raise several interesting points, like calling us negative while being negative... I respect the Governor, but sometimes his outbursts about conspiracies do concern me from time to time. And the President sure likes to attack Senator Ayotte for lack of experience, and he knows a lot about it, since he was so experienced back in 2008. The truth of the matter is that we have to move ahead of this petty fights and present real and feasible solutions to the American people, and the Republican Party is the one with a true plan.

We want an America with a strong and truly coherent foreign policy, we want our government to work better, we want lower taxes and we want a true recovery! I'm tired of seeing so many Americans unemployed and without a job, for they are suffering while many are discussing empty policies. President Obama started his term with a tough hand, yes, but his policies have failed in all levels, and the American people rejected him back in 2010. They will reject him again in November!

From now on to November, you are going to see Chris Christie's A-game to help Senator Ayotte win the White House, and I won't stop until we win this election! I'll be there offering solutions and providing a contrast, for we have to stand up. I'm sick and tired of hearing that the GOP created negativity and gridlock when President Clinton is openly mocking us, and Senator Ayotte and I will prove him wrong! Now let's get back at the trail and fight for the America we want! It's time for a change, and this time it's real change!"

OOC: I had decided that I was out of this particular game after the Daniels campaign, but since Jerry asked me and I want this game to end in a high note, I'll take care of Christie and some surrogates until the end!

(Some) Ayotte surrogates:
After Christie's remarks, GOP leaders go on the campaign trail:

___________________________________________________________________________________________

Artur Davis:
"Virginia, Obama has failed us!"

"I know that many of you were dissapointed when I joined the Republican ranks, and I understand the unique appeal Barack Obama has for all of us. When elected, he made history for the right reasons. But governing this country, he has made history for the wrong reasons. I respect the President, but in all honestly he is not getting things done. And please, don't blame it on a Republican Congress, he had a big majority for the first two years! Virginia, Obama has failed us! He failed you, the African American Community! The economy keeps getting worse, and he is unable to fix the problem. We face urban decay and violence, and he does nothing. Cities like Chicago and Detroit face economic collapse and violence crisis, and the only thing we hear from the White House is "it's the GOP's fault!"."

Susana Martinez:
"Ayotte and Christie get things done!"

"They say we can't get things done in politics. Two years ago, we faced in New Mexico a staggering budget deficit, and they usual attacks where launched: Oh, they can't balance this budget without tax increases or education and health care cuts. But we worked with Democrats and we reached across the aisle, and it worked. We passed good and balanced budgets, we proved it can be done while protecting those in need, and we created a surplus. I don't see the Democrats as the enemy, but I think President Obama has big problems when dealing with Congress. Kelly Ayotte and Chris Christie know how deliver a powerful attack, but they get things done as well. That's what a GOP White House is about, getting things done!"

Paul Ryan:
"Kennedy and Reagan cut taxes and reduced the deficit, and so can we!"

"These are hard times for all of us. They are hard for hard working middle class Americans, they are hard for both parties, and they are hard for the President. We see a lot of suffering here in America, and it doesn't seem to stop at all. But here in the House we proposed a solution (actually, we proposed several solutions) that try to address our economic woes. We want to lower the deficit, close loopholes and lower taxes. And they keep saying it can't be done, they said it's impossible to do all those things at once. It can be done! Democrats did it with Jack Kennedy, and we did it with Ronald Reagan! We can do it!"

Chris Christie:
"September 10-September 16: On the trail, Part I:"

"You know, all politicians have their appeal. Paul Ryan has his massive economic knowledge, Newt Gingrich has experience, Kelly Ayotte has the charisma and the ideas, and I have my good looks and my charm. (Laughter) No, in all seriousness, I like the truth. I love telling it how it is, for voters need that these days. I try not to be aggressive, I really do, I say: "Christopher, please, be nice today.", but somethings I feel I have to say why do I think certain things are wrong. But I'm a positive man as well, and I'll tell you this: Things may be bad, you might have lost your job, perhaps even your house. But we are here to help. We can help you, we can create something positive for this country and bring much needed change. All we need is your help."

September 10:
-New Jersey: Rallying the voters:
 -Rally in Jersey City, NJ.
 -Rally in Patterson, NJ.
 -Rally in Elizabeth, NJ.
 -Rally in Edison, NJ.

 -Bus Tour in Cleveland, OH.
 -Bus Tour in Toledo, OH.
 -Bus Tour in Akron, OH.
 -Bus Tour in Lorain, OH.
-Barnstorm and Rally in Columbus, OH.

"The real issue here is more than deficits and budgets. People are in really bad shape out there, I see it every day. We could be doing better, we should be doing better. The President and Mrs. Clinton will promise new days, they will promise a second prosperous and wonderful term. But the first one hasn't been so good, so why try with a second? I invite you to give it a try and vote for Kelly Ayotte, for real change and economic recovery. We know how to deal with this, and trust me, we will do so."

September 12:
-Pennsylvania: Barnstorming the next swing state:
 -Barnstorm in Pittsburg, PA.
 -Rally in Allentown, PA.
 -Barnstorm in Scranton, PA.
 -Barnstorm in Erie, PA.
 -Rally in Reading, PA.

North Carolina: In search for turnout:
 -Barnstorm in Raleigh, NC.
 -Rally in Durham, NC.
 -Barnstorm in Cary. NC.
 -Rally in Greensboro, NC.
-Voter Registration drive in Charlotte, NC.

"There are some people out there rooting for failure, and I think that's fundamently wrong. Some people say: you can't do it. You can't recover. You can't stand up. Expect that we can! We did it in New Jersey, with our wonderful comeback. You can do and be anything you want if you’re willing to work hard enough, which is I'm so confident that we can do the job. We are responsible, we believe in not squandering the money and we want the people to have more money and less taxes. Why is that so unreasonable?"

September 14:
Virginia: Never ending Tour:
 -Rally in Richmond, VA.
 -Bus Tour in Chesapeake, VA.
 -Bus Tour in Arlington, VA.
 -Bus Tour in Alexandria, VA.
 -Bus Tour in Hampton, VA.

 -Town Hall in Dover, NH.
 -Town Hall in Salem, NH.
 -Town Hall in Concord, NH.
 -Rally in Manchester, NH.
 -Rally in Nashua, NH.

"Some of you think that I shouldn't be here in New England, that we can't win it. But we are no quitters, Kelly Ayotte and I won't quit at all. All states can be won with hard work, and New Hampshire is not the exception. This is the state that looks at candidates, that test candidates and that pressures them to see the best of them. That's why you delivered Senator Ayotte a primary victory, not because she was from here, but because you believed she was the right choice. She had powerful opponents, most of them among our very best, and you chose her. That says a lot!"

September 16:
Maine: Another Bus Tour:
 -Bus Tour in Bangor, ME.
 -Bus Tour in Auburn, ME.
 -Bus Tour in Biddeford, ME.
 -Bus Tour in Augusta, ME.
 -Rally in Lewinston, ME.
-Rally and Barnstorm in Portland, ME.
