Alcee Hastings has been in Congress for a long time.
Yeah, so.  Tonight I am not proud of my party.

Sanford is not the representative that South Carolina needs, but he is the one it deserves.

I'm just worried this will boost Republican morale going into 2014. We saw what happened when they got a morale boost in Scott Brown's win.

I don't see how it could: this is an R+11 district and up until the very end Sanford looked like he was going to lose it.

This is a R+11 district. The fact that they were sweating about losing a seat that should be safe is not a morale booster.

This is not even comparable to Massachusetts 2010.

Jerry, its cool. Krazen isn't a very gracious winner.

Of course, I didn't recall him being here for the AZ-08 special last year. He's what you call a ' fair weather' fan.

It still looked like an impossible race to win. The boost won't be anything like Brown's victory, certainly, but it'll be something.

One thing is for certain, Republicans don't really care what a person does, because they just sent a skanky cur to Congress.

I do think that she will keep this to about a 5 point race, since she is only under preforming by three percent for a win

I think Sanford has managed to lose a safe seat by existing.

Hmm.

It was what it looked like at the time. Things change - you have no gloating rights over me, "champ".

But by going county by county, she right now is under preforming what Daily Kos said she would have to do in order to win.

This will propably be more like the Wisconsin Recall; false hope for the GOP primary process going into 2014 like into the 2012 election.

Anyone who voted for this guy should take a shard of glass to their face to conceal themselves from the shame.

I don't know how I would've voted if I lived in that district.    I might would've just stayed home.  Squinting  But, in all honesty, I think he'll be better than Busch.   Truth is, he'll likely be challenged heavily in the primaries.
