Gimmie some nominations...if we get a lot of good ones and people seem intersted, maybe I'll do a poll.

Some names I've heard floated about as candidates or just people that would be good or entertaining at the job:
Matt Lauer
Will Ferrell (for the yuk yuks)
Ken Jennings
Neil Degrasse Tyson (he'd be too good at it)
David Hyde Pierce (no)
Andy Richter (my favorite of the ones I've heard)

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Jennings. Promote from within, as it were.

He's had a couple of heart attacks in the last few years and he's getting kind of old.

Which is a shame.  I've liked Alex Quebec ever since I first saw him on High Rollers.

Aw, Tyson is awesome. Especially at that sort of thing. Tyson. He'd have to rein in the propensity for wonderful tangents, but he could do it and still have himself a ball. Very little chance of him ever hosting that, though.

That's a good one.  She's hosting the new Whose Line Is It Anyway?, but I'm sure she could do both.

Morgan Freeman, in lieu of whom Jennings would be fine.

Is there any chance of this actually happening?  Because yes, he would be the best.

He hasn't announced his retirement yet, has he?  I haven't watched it much in a while due to the factual errors on the show (they called Christie Whitman a Democrat and said Joseph was the son of Zilpah rather than Rachel), but Jeopardy without Alex Trebek would be like Disney without Mickey Mouse.
