The 22nd Amendment is null and void in this scenario. President Reagan runs for a 3rd term in 1988, with George HW Bush as his running mate.

The Democratic Party nominates Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton, who choses Tennessee Senator Albert Gore as his running mate.

KEY POINTS:
1) Economy same as in RL
2) Reagan beginning to show very faint signs of Alzheimer's.
3) Iran-Contra same as in RL
4) Reagan and Clinton face off in 3 debates. Bush faces Gore in 1 VP debate.

Who wins, and what does the electoral map look like?
