First thing's first, to make these official: https://uselectionatlas.org/FORUM/index.php?topic=170077.0

The occupants of the Secretary of Internal Affairs, Secretary of External Affairs, Game Moderator, and Attorney General positions, if even filled at all, are hereby dismissed.

I hereby appoint the following:

Bacon King to be Attorney General.

Adam Griffin to be Game Moderator.

Snowguy to be Secretary of Internal Affairs.

Polnut to be Secretary of External Affairs.

I also implore the Senate to create the position of Deputy Attorney General swiftly; and to confirm DemPGH for that job. Until then, I will consider DemPGH an informal "legal aide."

Senator have up to 72 hours to question the nominee, Bacon King. Have at it.

I can think of nobody better suited for the job than Bacon Kingman, Attorney at Law.

I have questions! Smiley

Mr. Kingman, in most of your recent offices, you have either fallen into inactivity, gone unresponsive, resigned early, or some combination thereof. Can you guarantee that this wont be the case this time? How can those of us with concerns be sure that this wont be another Barnes type serial disappearance act which the problems outweigh the benefits of your strong knowledge and positive attitude?

Are you going to actively update the Wiki?

Are you going to challenge statutes you believe come into conflict with the Constitution?

Thanks. Smiley

How would you have dealt with the Dibble Crisis over the summer?

What will the future hold for the Law Firm of Kingman, Oakvale, and Associates if you are confirmed and will you remain a partner at the firm while serving as Attorney General?

Have you ever considered suing yourself?

What are your views on wiki reform and how it can best be accomplished?

Do you promise to resign immediately as Attorney General if you are no longer able to be active in the position?

I'd also like to add that I honestly can't think of anyone I'd rather see as Attorney General right now Smiley

While of course I'd be happy to take over the helm of our great law firm, I wonder if it might not be more appropriate for me to abstain on this confirmation considering our connections...

One question that springs to mind - do you support the recently introduced legislation to prevent one person from representing both sides of a legal dispute? Obviously this is in response to you doing just that recently, but I'm curious as to whether you think it should be legal.

Keep in mind that I offered such not as anything personal towards BK, but out of a fear that someone would get deprived of justice in the process, and it seems the people getting most deprived of Justice, is the Justices themselves who after waiting so long to get a case have one that becomes so lame. It is a shear injustice to them for having waited patiently for so long...

yeah, back on task.

Mr. Kingman, do you plan to still serve as the consul for one or both sides in the aformentioned case once confirmed and two, why haven't any briefs been prepared even days after the deadline set by Justice Bgwah has lapsed? Is this not a slap in the face to the Supreme Court? Should it not reflect negatively upon yourself, after having taken the extreme step of being both the prosecutor and defense and thereby heightened expectations with said brazen act, to then fail in your duties to represent not one, but both sides of the case?

Okay, I think my questions have been answered. Sigh. I really don't like this, because BK is one of my faves. Sad

Needless to say there is no way in hell that I am voting to confirm a nominee who doesn't respond at all. Even failing to post in the first 24 hours reduces the chances of me voting for them by 50%, alone, regardless of who it is. If it was Duke I would apply the same standard.

While I'd said I would likely abstain in light of my business relationship with Mr. Kingman, I'm afraid that I will have no choice but to vote Nay in light of the nominee failing to appear at all. It's a shame - he's the most qualified candidate bar none, but we can't afford to have an Attorney General who's absent half the time.

Yeah, this has been really disappointing. He put a lot of effort into the application process and then did not follow through.

Last time my love and I spoke, he told me he was going to be around less and less on the forum at large. Otherwise, yeah, he was someone I wanted for AG.

We went with BK because he had been so responsive during the application process, answering all the questions asked in a timely manner and even putting forward new ideas for the Wiki. Needless to say, I am really disappointed this happened.
