Looks like he's going to run for the Senate, unless he pulls a Connie Mack and surprises us all. Against Pryor, I'd give him a better than even shot, simply because of his extremely strong profile for the state, combined with the heavy Republican trend over the last two-three years in Arkansas, although by no means would it be an easy haul...

We know what Pryor will use, namely hopscotch/DC Man. Both defusable if done promptly and perhaps with a touch of humor.

Apart from that, Pryor's major vulnerabilities are 1) low approvals (41/35/23), 1a) nearly a quarter of Arkansan voters don't have an opinion of his job performance 2) Hasn't had a serious fight in his Senate career 3) Voting record (O-care, NRA "C" rating). On the plus side, he has serious $$$ and will keep that advantage for the opening round. Plus a name ID advantage as well, though we haven't seen any polling yet. Like Cotton's House primary, I expect both to use air/ground, but more ground than air in a sparsely populated, rural state.

Hasn't had a serious fight in his Senate career

2002 was an extremely tough race.
