Incidentally, the SVP's showing is higher than the margin between the two coalition. Without it, 340 MPs go to Berlusconi...

You know your country is hosed up when de-facto Austrians (of all people) save the country from utter darkness.

According to Google elections, it voted 10.8% "The Megaphone". Can anybody explain who they are? They also performed very well in other parts of Sicily (Caltanisetta 11.3, Agrigento 7.1), but did not get any votes (zero, nada, nix) elsewhere.

Austrian Wannabes. .39 lead, 420 precincts. Insurmountable. Maybe Bersani can drop below 29.5 though?

PDL is now saying that the results shouldn't be certified due to the close result. Berlusconi is open to the idea of economic reforms (heavily watered down, like he did with Monti) but ruled out a grand coalition. Round 2, here we come.

The personal vehicle of the current regional president, Rosario Crocetta.

Let's just hope it doesn't turn out as bad as the last time one of Austria's neighbors tried that!

This is Senate, not Camera. Because I started doing these provincial results before it became clear that the Camera would turn out even closer than the Senate.

We better have those elections soon. These North and Central America results aren't looking good.  Sad

Doesn't matter- legally there's no need for a concession.

Another problem: Napolitano's term expires in May. Unless Parliament is dissolved almost immediately there won't be enough time to hold an election before then, so they'll need to work something out. Who would command enough support to win 2/3 in this clusterfark of a parliament?

This is Berlusconi we're talking about. I wonder what you'd get if you somehow combined him and Norm Coleman.

Lodi, smallest province in Lombardy, and a new one but one that made sense. No point in having Milan province reach down to the Pò with a strange tentacle. Clown 38.2 Left 30.5 Troll 17.9 Right 8.9
Monza - la Brianza, also created from Milan and far less reasonable as it's just a random part of Milan suburbia. Clown 37.1 (-19.5) Left 29.2 (-2.5) Troll 18.9 Right 10.6

Padova Clown 32.2 (-20.4) Left 25.4 (-7.3) Troll 24.9 Right 11.0

Campobasso Left 31.1 (-17.8) Troll 27.9 Clown 27.5 (-12.7) Right 8.4, so a swing to Berlusconi actually. Final Left lead in Molise 304 votes, not that it matters. 1 PD, 1 PdL.

Salerno Clown 39.3 (-13.3) Left 29.1 (-3.6) Troll 19.6 Right 7.9

Still out at the point of this rolling update: 4 precincts in Varese
4 precincts in Milan
1 precinct in Treviso
33 precincts in Rome

267 precincts left, margin still at 0.38. We might avoid the 2006 scenario...

200 left, and we're at 0.39. Half of what's left comes from the Roma province, but I'm not sure where exactly.

My guy is going to lose. I just know it. Damn Monti and his stupid waste of a party. That will keep us from the second seat.

Final Sicilian Senate seat distribution: PdL 14, Five Star 6, PD 4, Megaphone 1. That's right, Monti 0.

Why is the Left so weak in the south?  You would think poor areas would be more likely to vote for the left wing party.
