Though also considering other options. Barring a strong Pub year I can't see him defeating Pryor, and quite frankly seems like a second-rate candidate. Darr can decoy, only Cotton can win.

if Darr runs, Pryor should be fine so long as he doesn't underestimate him and pours his warchest on him.

Yeah, Dem in a Pub state plus Sixtch. But overall not that much to worry about unless the national environment noticeably swings Pub.

If Cotton runs for Senate, Democrats have a decent candidate with State Senator Bruce Maloch.

Maloch represents SD12, which stretches from the Louisiana border up to Sheridan. I'm too lazy to crunch the numbers, but I'd guess that its 57-59% Romney.

R+9 in a sixtch? Hah. But the fact that a potentially open seat is being discussed... yet another clue. I expect Darr will duck out, given his smoke-blowing "I think Tom is happy where he is" or not run at all. He's apparently declaring after the legislative session wraps up in April, and Cotton said last month he's not making any decisions till late May/early June earliest. Can't go earlier because of prep work plus giving Pryor "hopscotch" ammo.
