Here's McCain, which aside from Richmond, NY (Staten Island), should be a good guideline.

Not positive about the order, but these counties all have densities over 1,000 people/sq. mi.

Richmond   NY
Orange   CA
Colonial Heights city*   VA
Cobb   GA
Tarrant   TX
Va. Beach   city VA
Gwinnett   GA
Salem city   VA
Jefferson   LA
Waynesboro city   VA
Lynchburg city   VA
Bristol city*   VA
Monmouth   NJ
Seminole   FL
Anne Arundel   MD
Johnson   KS
Duval   FL
Morris   NJ
Tulsa*   OK

*McCain broke 60%

You left out Maricopa County which I think is the largest county he won.

This is density (per sqm) not population. Maricopa County is so spread out, that it does not have that high a density.
