Same rules as the Republican thread.  Harry Reid has retired to start up the amazing coffee-shop-cafe, "When Harry Met Mitchy" with Sen. McConnell.  Who will you choose to be his replacement?  Two days to decide, candidates are listed in order of seniority!

Harkin. A solid, principled progressive voice as well as a senior figure in the caucus.

It probably should be Schumer. He has almost as much power as Reid anyway.

Ron Wyden, with a caveat; Martin Heinrich gets to be Senate Democratic Leader in a decade or so.

No love for Harkin? I know he's retiring, but even 2 years of him should be worth it.

Tough choice. Torn between Harkin, Wyden, and Leahy.

I voted Landrieu, but Nelson would be good too.

If Harkin wasn't retiring, I'd have voted for him easily. He would have been preferable to the conservative and soft spoken Reid. But, if I was a Senator electing a new leader, I couldn't vote for someone who's already stated his intention to leave. I'd go with Sherrod Brown.

We should have several rounds of voting for these polls! Why not make another poll including only the candidates who got 3 votes or more, and then a third round with the two frontrunners?

He's worked hard on civil liberties, he's one of the only people who seems like he's trying to actually get things through, and (this is just me) I think his work on tax policy is great.
