It's hard to imagine that 2014 can recreate the turnout in 2012; off years just don't generate the same numbers. In addition the Dems are working against the history of mid-second term presidencies that favor the non-presidential party. I would think that at best the Ds can hold their ground or pick up a scattered few seats like in 1998.
