No one's really sure if he will run or not, but Booker knocked the beehive pretty hard.

He's really refusing to get it... if he runs, this'll be the first time an incumbent Dem was primaried since Lieberman. NJ doesn't want him anymore, but who cares about that? After all, he's entitled to be carried out on a stretcher.

I don't think he'll run. This article is just a last-ditch attempt by Lautenberg surrogates to get Booker to back down.

I hope he does run and gets crushed. Launtenberg is one of the worst Senators we have.

Being a massive supporter of anti-smoking regulations, and Amtrack are big black marks in my view, but it's also a lot about his demeanor about his seat: he acts as if he was pre-ordained the seat at this point.

That's funny, I like him precisely because he is a supporter of Amtrak.

I'd like to ask if you've ever been on Amtrak.

I took an Amtrak from DC to NYC once...it was a nice ride. The part of Baltimore that the track ran through was pretty depressing though.

Anyway, Harry Reid needs to sit Lautenberg down for a chat.

I'm not surprised. They're trying to force him into retirement (which he hated last time).

Did anything think he'd just sit back and take it?

Rail is huge in New Jersey. Lautenberg did the right thing for his state.

I have and for long-distance trips too. NY to Bakersfield, CA this past summer. I enjoyed the trip and found nothing wrong with it.

Amtrak (outside the East Coast) is a pathetic joke, but it's still better than nothing.

I hope someone who isn't quite a 100% pawn of Wall Street gets in. In other words, not Cory Booker.

Being Senator isn't rocket science, but it might not hurt to a rocket scientist.

I think I'd vote for Holt over Booker. That'd be a hard choice, though.

Booker has high name recognition, strong favorables, and the backing of the North Jersey Democratic machine. That's going to be damn near impossible to beat.
